Abstract: The tension distribution of high-strength bolted extended endplate connections does not have unified regulations in china, the assuming tension distribution between the "Code for Design of Steel Structure"(GB50017-2003) and the "Specification of High Strength Bolt Connection of Steel Structures"(JGJ82-2011) are different, it may lead some problems in practical engineering. "Specification of High Strength Bolt Connection of Steel Structures"(JGJ82-2011) has given the assumed tension distribution ,but has not given formula .But its distribution assumption is the same as the British Standard ,so the calculation is given below reference to British Standard. Comparing their calculation methods and referencing to the British Standard ,the latter distribution is more reasonable.

Abstract: This article study the connecting performance of the corrosion high-strength bolts. According to the experiment of anti-slippery,the essay investigate anti-slippery coefficient, sliding load and ultimate load affected by the the extent of corrosion. The articl aslo study about the load-displacement cure of high-strength bolts connecting, which study The difference of the relation between load and displacement in each stages, cause by the whether the high-strength is corrosion.

Abstract: For the parrel bolt of Egongyan Yangtze River Bridge uses rust-proof paint which can easily come off, workers should often examine cable and re-paint. Without repairing in time, bolt will be rusty in a short time, which causes serious problems. According to the present state of naked bolt of Egongyan Yangtze River Bridge, we investigate the corrosion action of high effective paint stripper and conduct an analytic experiment, using high effective paint to remove the paint of naked high-strength bolt and testing four engineering plastics in a high temperature and freezing temperature. Through a comparative analysis, we adopt MC-PA for protective cover and load it on the top for bolts, achieving a good protective effect.

Abstract: Equal channel angular extrusion (ECAE) was used before and after artificial aging to investigate the effect of heat treatment on formability of bulk nanostructure of commercially available aluminum alloy of AA6061 in the present study. In the ECAE, route A was applied up to four or eight passes by using the split dies set-up. The three-stage bolt forming using the ultra-fine grained specimens was carried out to check formability of the material. In the present experiments, the bolt forming was successful with the specimen prepared by the ECAE after artificial aging whilst it was not successful with the specimen prepared by a reverse process sequence. The strength increase was confirmed by the tension and microhardness tests and compared to the result of conventional AA2024 bolt made by the conventionally heat treated specimen. It was found that the strength was comparable to the level of the heat treated conventional one although the actual value was a little bit lower. In addition, it was demonstrated that the heat treatment sequence is important to achieve proper formability of the ultra-fine grained material to manufacture the high strength bolt.

Abstract: The effect of axial loading resulting from torque on the fatigue life of bolts has been investigated. It was found that the fatigue limit of bolts increased by an amount proportional to the increase in torque. There was a linear relationship between torque and fatigue limit. Using the Shigley method, the prediction of fatigue limit from calculated stress concentration factors was also examined. A good correlation was found between the experimental and predicted fatigue limit. The Shigley method was appropriate for the prediction of fatigue life of bolts.
