Abstract: With different fine aggregate, gradation type, oil stone ratio, asphalt type specimen molding and molding method and calculate the porosity of the specimen. The experimental results show that the using basalt coarse aggregate and fine aggregate forming specimen, specimen porosity significantly larger, all are beyond the scope of regulatory requirements; If using basalt coarse aggregate and limestone fine aggregate forming specimens, specimen porosity is small, both meet regulatory requirements. The main reason is basalt fines aggregate bulk volume density is too large and not easily compacted. Recommendation: we’d better use of basalt coarse aggregate and limestone fine aggregate forming specimen, try to avoid using basalt aggregate thickness of molded specimen. If the region lacks limestone fines, we should detect the special type of basalt fine aggregate firstly. If the indicators of basalt fines are in line with the requirement, you can use, if the indicators do not meet regulatory requirement, you can not use.

Abstract: At home and abroad research, accident rate prediction model for highway safety assessment contains various influence factors, so it is difficult to find a comprehensive accident prediction model considering so much of them. In this article, we select appropriate accident prediction models through comprehensive literature research respectively about the highway alignment conditions, traffic conditions, interchange spacing conditions, then determine the weights of three accident prediction models using the analytic hierarchy process (AHP), finally obtain the comprehensive safety assessment model after the consistency check. Its’ feasibility is proved by a practical example.

Abstract: Based on the low carbonization connotation and components of highway electromechanical system, the low carbonization of highway electromechanical system is divided into five major sections: low carbonization of power supply and distribution system, low carbonization of lighting system, low carbonization of charging system, low carbonization of monitoring and communication system, low carbonization of energy use. And for each section the key management and technologies of low carbonization are summarized, thus to form the low carbonization system framework for highway electromechanical system.

Abstract: Environmental monitoring of national highway is an important content of China’s environmental monitoring network in the transport field, a part of national environmental monitoring system, and also a significant basis for environmental protection supervision and management of the transport industry. Using the methods of spatial analysis, grid analysis, and optimization through ArcGIS, monitoring objects of Chinese national highway environmental monitoring network had been screened out. Among which, the environmental quality monitoring objects are composed of the national highway sensitive sections nearby or passing through 277 natural reserves, 32 national scenic areas, 7 of the world’s natural and cultural heritage sites, 8 important wetlands, 398 important reservoirs, and 193 state-level sensitive aquatic germ plasm resources conservation areas; and the pollutant emission monitoring objects include 316 long and extra-long tunnels, 539 service areas and 601 toll stations with large traffic volume. Environmental quality monitoring objects and pollutant emission monitoring objects form China’s National Highway Environmental Monitoring Network, which has filled the blank of highway environmental monitoring in the national environmental monitoring network. It will play a positive role in promoting the green development of China's transport industry.

Abstract: The reasonable speed limit would reduce the detrimental impact on the driving safety and traffic jam in Highway expansion project high slope work zone. The study based on the investigation of Liu Nan highway’s traffic capacity, speed, traffic flow and other related index, which researched the vehicles queuing length of the different lane width in expansion project construction zone. The result is that 1/2 lane occupied need limit speed step by step in the warning area, 1/3 lane occupied limit 60km/h and 1/4 lane occupied limit 80km/h.

Abstract: Highway traffic safety facilities system evaluation plays an important role to relieve highway safety problem. From the perspective of system engineering, the influence factors of the current situation are comprehensively considered, the freeway traffic safety facilities system evaluation index system is established, and the application of ant colony neural network evaluation model is constructed. The purpose is to provide the beneficial references for freeway traffic safety facilities system evaluation.

Abstract: In recent years, the phenomenon of highway slope instability occurred frequently.Slope failure caused by various diseases seriously affect the normal operation of the highway, directly endanger traffic safety. Through the analysis of the investigation of guizhou highway slope protection status,we summarized characteristics and causes of the slope diseases and put forward some meaningful Suggestions on the slope protection measures, to provide a scientific basis for highway slope design, construction and maintenance.

Abstract: Highway as a significant part of social infrastructure affects the interests of all social aspects during construction and thus will bring about social instability risks. In this paper, the social instability risks from Jianli-Jiangling Highway project were identified and evaluated using fuzzy analytic hierarchy process. The results will promote science-based decision-making and careful use of preventive measures, and thus ensure the evaluated project can be smoothly implemented. This study will provide some references for similar projects in the future.
