Abstract: This paper simply describes basic principles of the honing machine. And using MATLAB software this paper carries out frequency-domain analysis and time-domain analysis of this system. According to actual processing situation putting forward to control overshoot. Because this system cannot meet the needs, utilizing PID to adjust this system. At the same time putting parameters obtained from PID adjustment as initial value, this paper carries out optimization, and gets a better result.

Abstract: According to the requirements of optimization for honing efficiency ,Through Matlab simulation and finite element analysis, this paper studied the influence factors of reticulate pattern quality and honing efficiency. These factors contain honing speed, reversing acceleration, oil-stone. This paper provides certain theoretical basis for reasonable selection of key technological parameters in high efficiency honing process .

Abstract: In order to improve the pneumatic gauging precision of honing process, according to the pneumatic gauging characteristic of honing machine, the mathematical model of air current state in measurement process is established with oblique shock wave theory. Through setting up different fillet on protection plate, the air flow state of measurement process could be improved. The change of gas velocity, temperature and pressure was analyzed for different protection plate structure by fluid simulation software, the validity of the theoretical analysis was verified, which can provide the theory basis for structure optimization of the honing head.

Abstract: The special honing machine is used in the precision machine of the monomer hydraulic prop cylinder internal hole surface. The main revolving movement is driven by motor, the reciprocating linear motion is actuated by hydraulic ram. Honing machine consists of three parts, mechanism, the hydraulic system and the electric control system. The work principle and the processing process, the interlock relation between movements and the straight line feed motion velocity modulation method of this machine were discussed in this study. The special honing machine designed for the monomer hydraulic prop cylinder is convenient and easy for person to operate, and has high efficiency. The reciprocating linear motion driven by hydraulic ram is steady when direction is changed. It is convenient to change speed, and has advantageous of enhancement processing surface quality.

Abstract: The paper reports an experimental study on the effect of honing parameters on the honing surface roughness, material removal rate and surface topography. A cylindrical honing machine was developed, on which the honing experiments for stainless steel cylinder parts were performed with different honing parameters including the abrasives and its grit size of honing stones, honing pressure and honing time. The results can provide helpful instruction to the determination of the honing process and parameters.
