Abstract: This paper analizes the mechanism of problems existing in desilication, dephosphorization and desulfurization process, and propose the corresponding solutions in order to solve these problems constraining process development and affecting the efficiency. Practice has proved that it is an effective way using green scientific solutions to restrain foam in desilication, prevent blocking guns in dephosphorization and deslagging in desulfurization process.

Abstract: A larger resulfurization took place in converter steelmaking using semi-steel from vanadium-containing molten iron pretreatment as hot metal in the Xichang Steel and Vanadium plant, which results in a serious impact on the improvement and qualified rate of a variety of high quality clean steels production. On the problems were present at the process of vanadium containing hot melt pretreatment, some production process optimization tests and process comparative analysis were carried out. The results showed that: resulfurization results in a difficult control of sulfur content in molten steel in course of vanadium recovery via BOF operation for the first desulfurization next vanadium recovery that is suitable for the production of normal sulfur steels. The first vanadium recovery next desulfurization is in more favor of slag skimming and low iron loss, which is suitable for the production of low sulfur steels. The production costs of the latter reduce 15 to 22 yuan / ton steel than the former, on the basis of cost comparison of plain steels and low sulfur steels, respectively.

Abstract: In order to promote the rational utilization of high-phosphorus iron ore in western Hubei of China, the effect of process parameters on desilication rate of the high-phosphorus hot metal was investigated. The results show that the desilication rate increases slightly with indistinctive effect with the increasing of desilication agent addition. The oxygen efficiency is over 50% when desilication agent addition is about 30kg/t. Desilication rate is higher when the stirring gas flow is about 0.4l/min. Strengthening stirring of bath at the beginning period can improve kinetics condition of desilication reaction.

Abstract: The technology for clean steel production in modern steel plant is analyzed, a philosophy with production efficiency, manufacturing cost and product performance in its core. A review on functions is also made which of high-efficiency, low-cost and high-quality steel products manufactured by the new generation iron and steel plant, in combination with the study on design of steelmaking – continuous casting process of Shougang Jingtang iron and steel plant. By applying precise and dynamic design system to optimize and allocate systems and working procedures of hot metal pretreatment, converter smelting, secondary refining, continuous casting process, etc, a platform of high-efficiency, low-cost and high-quality clean steel production is built.

Abstract: In order to understand the equilibrium condition of phosphorus between slag and hot metal saturated with carbon in the high phosphorus hot metal dephosphorization process, the dephosphorization capacity of CaO-FeO*-SiO2-P2O5(15%) -CaF2(B2O3) slag system at 1573 K was studied, by applying the method that phosphorus distribution ratio between slag and solid iron was firstly measured and the one between slag and hot metal was then calculated. The results showed that phosphorus distribution ratio decreased with increase in basicity of CaO/(SiO2 +P2O5), a proper increase in SiO2 content is helpful to the absorption of phosphorus into slag, an increase in FeO* content from 10.52% to 13.40% resulted in a dramatic reduction of phosphorus distribution ratio from 126.43 to 33.25, by completely substituting CaF2 with B2O3 at 2.5 of basicity and 0.07 of B2O3/CaO ratio not only was acquired a high phosphorus distribution ratio of 171, but also was decreased pollution to the environment.
