Abstract: In view of rich resources of corn stalks, cotton stalks forming pellets hot ignition performance, using CFD numerical simulation analysis to study the key parameters of electric ignition such as the surface ignition temperature, air velocity, air flow distribution ratio of influence of hot air outlet temperature. Obtained that increasing electric heating surface temperature, reducing the air flow velocity and convective heat transfer coefficient of the outer tube can significantly improve the ignition temperature of the outlet hot air, the outlet hot air temperature should be higher than 450 °C. Ignition internal and external air passage area ratio affects the allocation of hot air flow, the best area ratio of between 1.8-2.2.

Abstract: Initiation of chemical reactions liberating thermal energy in non hypergolic propellants require ignition systems which are reliable as well as robust in nature. This necessitates the igniter and its subsystems be on par or exceed every quality criteria required for the main stage. The ignition systems which provide pilot action and flame holding in supersonic environment adds new challenges in its structural and thermal stability. The paper aims to conduct a numerical analysis of the Augmented Spark Torch igniter required for an air breathing rocket (SCRAMJET) engine with the emphasis on the optimization of the mixing length ratio required to achieve a uniform mixture ratio distribution in the zone of the igniter combustion chamber. Abstract: With development of MEMS pyrotechnics devices such as semiconductor bridge/metal bridges, the energy required to fuze ignition becomes smaller and smaller. The energy needed for traditional short-circuit is far greater than MEMS pyrotechnics devices explosive, and takes a large space of fuze, which does not accord with the smaller trend in fuse volume and ignition energy. This paper describes a MEMS short-circuit fuse based on electro-thermal theory, it has similar volume with MEMS pyrotechnics devices, and the energy required is less than the traditional shorts fuse. This short-circuit fuse has well safety features, short action time, small volume, low cost, and it is suitable to be used in fuse or other areas .
