Abstract: Based on the CHEMKIN software, a model of the reforming chamber was built to simulate the on-board fuel reforming process in a Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition (HCCI) engine. The effects of the initial pressure and temperature of the chamber on the reformed gas were studied. The results show that the main species in the reformed gas are H2 and CO. This paper investigated the effect of initial temperature on the reformed gas, in order to get the optimum initial temperature. Under the optimum initial temperature (1300 K), some important conclusions have been drawn by changing initial pressures of the chamber. Initial pressure may have great effect on other species, but has a small effect on mole fractions of H2 and CO. By comparing the concentrations of H2 and CO between low and high initial pressures under the optimum initial temperature, it can be concluded that H2 and CO are still the main species in the reformed gas.

Abstract: An experimental study on pressure evolution during closed explosion and venting progress of methane–air mixtures ([CH4=10%]) in linked vessels was performed, for systems at various initial pressures (P0=0-0.08MPa). The effects of initial pressure on regularity of pressure variation in vessels were discussed. For the closed explosion in isolated vessel, the higher level of the initial pressure in isolated big vessel is, the larger the peak pressure and rate of pressure rise is, and the peak pressure increases nonlinearly with initial pressure; For closed explosion in linked vessels, the higher initial pressure within the linked vessels system leads to the higher peak pressures in two vessels and there is an approximate linear relationship between them, which is similar to explosion in isolated vessel. For vented explosion in linked vessels at higher initial pressure, venting has poorer effect on protection of the linked vessels.

Abstract: The paper research the mathematical model and the stability of the mill hydraulic loading system by analyzing the principle of mill hydraulic loading system, and find that the main reason for unstability is the low initial pressure of the accumulator, and solved basically the unstability problems of the system and improved the safety and the economical efficiency of anlage fahren through the analysis and the adjustment on initial pressure of the accumulator.

Abstract: The average flow model proposed by Patir and Cheng offers a great convenience for the mixed-lubrication analysis of rough surfaces. The pressure flow factor introduced by Patir and Cheng helps to analyze the influence of roughness on the average pressure and average flow of a lubricant between surfaces. This paper reports how to reasonably choose initial pressure in computing the pressure flow factor. The numerical results show that the pressure distribution and further pressure flow factor value are sensitive to an initial pressure in solving the pressure flow factor, and the initial pressure of a constant value is not suitable for the pressure flow factor calculation for a measured surface with many sample points. Meanwhile, the pressure flow code is demonstrated by the comparison of the pressure obtained numerically with the analytical solution of pressure.
