Abstract: Control system of the Plastic injection molding machine formed by electric relays and switching valves has many shortcomings, such as complexity wiring, low control accuracy, inconvenience maintenance and lack of flexibility, using the simulation assessment of the actual application method, this paper designs the injection molding machine control systems based on PLC controller, the new control system is composed by PLC, inverter, sensors and other components, with the help of PID control, which according to the given screw barrel temperature deviation value and measured value, automatically adjust and stabilize of the entire control system. Simulation experimental results show this new control system can achieve better performance is effective, which will decrease energy consumption of the stabilization system; the research achievements have certain theoretical and practical value to the design of injection molding machine control system.

Abstract: The structure and the load-carrying capability of the front board of injection molding machine are more complex. The error of the approximation algorithm employed in engineering is larger so that the board may become invalid in the process of using, The finite element analysis can obtain the stress distribution in the parts so as to improve the accuracy of calculation and the quality of design; through The topology optimization analysis will take the initiative to find the optimal plan, which provides the theoretical basis for the improvement of the load-carrying capability and the structure design of board. This paper have conducted a parametric design, finite element analysis and the topology optimization design for a motional board of the injection molding machine using “Advanced simulation” of NX8.0, and get a quantitative conclusion of that the motional board volume is reduced and its stiffness is significantly enhanced.

Abstract: This thesis paper proposes the theory of compound control system to solve the problems of slow dynamic response, low system control precision, and reduced productivity in the process of speed regulation generated because of the frequency conversion renovation in the injection molding machine, and deduces it with mathematical modeling based on the qualitative theories of ordinary differential equations. My conclusions indicate that to adopt the compound control system can largely improve its steady state and precision, and increase its dynamic response speed.

Abstract: Kinds of plastic injection molding machines were widely used in plastic products industry. The electric energy consumption of injection molding machine was an important part of the production cost of plastic products. Injection molding machines main energy saving methods such as the variable frequency speed regulation and electromagnetic heating were analyzed. The various methods of energy saving effect were evaluated through actual measurements, The advantages and disadvantages of various energy saving mode were also pointed out. The energy saving space and benefit in this industry was analyzed from the view of technology economy.

Abstract: We have developed a plasticating simulation program for injection molding machines based on Chungs melting model. We compared the simulation results with the results of experiments which employed a visualization cylinder. The visualization cylinder has sight glass windows through which we can observe the melting phenomena in the cylinder. We established the temperature of resin in the cylinder by using infrared thermograph. The temperature of resin obtained by the simulation was close to experimental one. On the other hand, the solid-bed ratio deviated from the experiment results especially in the compression zone when the screw rotation speed was low. This suggests that the calculation of heat in the melting process should be improved.

Abstract: Based on the mechanism of processing and molding of multivariate polypropylene composite system, this paper studies the effect of the screw length-to-diameter ratio and the wedge angle of the helix angle of the twin-screw extruder on the properties of elongation at break of polypropylene composite. The relationship between injection temperature and injection pressure of injection molding machine is also analyzed. Experiments show that when length-to-diameter ratio is 30, and wedge angle is 16±5o, the elongation at break of test sample reaches its maximum value and tends to be stable. When melting pressure is 40 MPa and the injection temperature at 190 °C-220 °C, injection molding machine can improve the process flowing property of composite materials.

Abstract: This article analyzing the importance of PID in the design of the temperature process controller for hybrid injection mould machine. The injection mould machine is a basic requirement of plastic. Its process to mould the items through adjustment of proper temperatures realized desired shapes. And it is very indispensable to maintain these desired temperatures. PID controller is used as an industrial process controller. It may not get satisfying results when used as a temperature process controller. The temperature process has the characteristics of non-linearity, large inertia and time variations. To solve these problems, this article put forward an effective controller design by introducing PID in the designing of temperature process controller. The paper drafted the performance analysis of PID controller versus based controller designs.

Abstract: The weight of platens accounts for about 70% of the entire clamping device of injection molding machine. The reduction in the weight of platen means the reduction in the cost of injection molding machine. UG NX8.0 was adopted to conduct the parametric design, and UG NX8.0 Advanced Simulation module was adopted to conduct the finite element analysis and the topology optimization design for the front platen of injection molding machine so as to obtain the quantitative conclusions that the volume of platen is reduced and the stiffness as well as the strength is improved. The maximum deformation of platen is decreased by 6.2%, the volume is decreased by 6%, the maximum stress is decreased by 6.6% and the average displacement of all the nodes in the mold mounting plane is decreased by 9.1%. The effect of optimization is obvious.

Abstract: This paper presents a fuzzy adaptive PID control algorithm for the multi-channel temperature control system of injection molding machine. The article describes the structure and control rules of fuzzy adaptive PID controller and the hardware and software implementations of the temperature control system. The experimental result shows that the systems temperature control method has a good control effect on such kind of time-varying hysteretic complex temperature control system of injection molding machine, and it can finally reach the temperature control accuracy of ±1°C within the measuring range of 0~400°C.

Abstract: The energy-saving effect of the injection molding machine energy-saving reformation project was measured in a factory. Based on the analysis of the project energy-saving principle, analyzed the energy-saving rate of the reformed injection molding machine in case of producing different products. The test results show that the active power saving rate is 50% under the load condition, the active power saving rate is more than 75% under the no-load condition and energy-saving effect is more obvious under the no-load condition. Finally, analyzed the power quality impact caused by the energy-saving equipment on the distribution network, put forward some suggestions for improvement.
