Abstract: In order to improve the printing quality, 10 kinds of different manufacturers, different gram weight offset paper are used in this title, measure the quantitative, thickness, gloss, K&N values, and roughness of those paper. Print papers through IGTAIC2-5, calculate the ink transfer rate and transfer parameters. Using SPSS to analysis relationship between the performance of paper and ink transfer rate, transfer parameter b, k, f ' by using mathematical methods. The research results show that the performance of the paper affect ink transfer rate and transfer parameter b, k, f '; The tightness, roughness ,glossiness and K&N value have notable effect on the ink transfer rate and transfer parameter k; transfer parameter b, f ' has no remarkable influence.

Abstract: Anilox is the most important part in flexography, we simplified the structure of anilox roller into an axisymmetric trapezoidal groove, while established a numerical simulation of the ink transfer process by using the finite element method. We had done research on ink transfer characteristics in the flexographic printing process. The ink transfer ratio decreased when the upper plate contact angle increased, while increased when the dovetail groove contact angle increased; the aspect ratio also have impacts on the ink transfer.

Abstract: Abstract. Gravure printing has the characteristics including thick ink layer, bright and homochromatic color, rich and sharp tone, and strong stereoscopic impression. In the packaging-printing field, gravure printing gets more and more attentions. But in the region of gravure printing process, the study on gravure printing ink transfer is not as deep as offset print. Most researches just stay in the level of qualitative analysis, but the quantitative analysis researches are still insufficient. The factors which impact gravure printing ink transfer are not only the volume of engraving ink cell, but also printing process. In this paper, gravure printing ink transfer is analyzed quantitatively from the point of views of gravure printing pressure, printing speed, scraping blade pressure and ink viscosity. The following research has been done in this paper. Firstly, electronic engraving machine is used to engrave eight different area ink cells by 45° ink cell angle and 70lpc screen line number on the same gravure roller. Secondly, gravure proofing machine is used to make proofs in different process conditions. Thirdly, density meter is used to determine density of cell ink, and balance is used to determine the weight of ink which moves from the plate onto the paper. Finally, to analyze the influence of different printing processes on gravure printing ink transfer. The research results show that gravure printing ink transfer is influenced certainly by different printing processes. Printing process has a certain influence on the gravure printing ink transfer, and the influence degree of different dot area rate of cell is different. The doctor blade pressure and ink viscosity influence greatly gravure printing ink transfer.

Abstract: Four kinds of monomers were chosen to prepare ink to research the effect of monomer on the ink transfer performance of UV waterless offset and improve the printing quality. The rheological properties such as viscosity, yield value, thixotropy and stickiness were tested and the ink transfer equation was built, the ink transfer rate was calculated and the effect of monomer on the ink transfer performance was analyzed through the ink transfer experiment. The research results show that the type of monomers has large impact on the rheological properties of UV waterless offset, so the ink transfer performances with different kinds of monomers are different. And the viscosity, thixotropy, yield value and stickiness of the ink with TPGDA and EOEOEA are little, the ink transfer performance is better.

Abstract: In this paper, using rotational viscometer measured the viscosity of ink, using IGT printability tester complete the transfer of the ink on different paper, using the analytical balance measure the amount of ink transfer, and using transfer rate formula calculate the ink transfer rate. Using EXCEL to establish the ink viscosity and the transfer rate curve, And fitted curve equation, thus that obtained conclusion of different ink viscosity affect ink transfer on different paper.

Abstract: This paper uses the culture paper commonly-used filler PCC (precipitated calcium carbonate) and makes a good ratio of other raw materials and dosage of various other chemicals. Under the certain papermaking craft condition, with the certain quantum, the experiment changes the filler proportion of the paper to make paper samples and test the samples’ properties and the printing ink transfer. The experiment establishes an influence curve relationship, through that we analysis and draw the conclusion when the proportion of PCC is in the range 20% to 30%, it will get better ink transfer effect, which will provide reference for actual production.

Abstract: The emulsification ratio of ink has an important effect on ink-transfer performance and printing quality. The UV offset ink of gold and silver cardboard was prepared by three-roll grinder. Ink was emulsified by adding different amounts of water and the ink samples with different emulsification ratio were made. Printability tester was used to proof, test the ink transfer performance, set up Ink transfer equation, confirm the parameters of f’,b and k, and investigate the influence of emulsification ratio on ink-transfer performance. Test the solid density, dot gain and relative contrast value of proofs, analyze the effect of emulsification ratio on printing quality. The research results show that when the ink of plate was large, the amount of ink transfer and the volume of ink on the plate are basic in a linear relationship. When the emulsification ratio of ink is 11.76%, the value b, the solid density and relative contrast value are the biggest. When the emulsification ratio of ink is 6.25%, the value f’ is the biggest. The dot gain is the smallest while the emulsification ratio is 15.67%.

Abstract: Gravure printing is widely applied in packaging printing and the ink transfer is very important for printing quality. Ink transfer affects the ink uniform, thickness and dot gain, so it is necessary to optimize the parameter of the gravure plate making. At present, some investigations are developed for the ink transfer only qualitatively. In this paper, the influence of screen ruling and engraving needle tip angle on ink transfer is researched experimentally. Firstly, the standard test gravure plate was prepared, and then the gravure plates are engraved at different parameter combining the screen ruling and engraving needle tip angle. Finally, the printing samples are obtained, from which the transfer amount and the density are measured. This paper, the amount of ink transfer and the density are investigated, and the results show that screen ruling and engraving needle tip angle affect the ink transfer amount.
