Abstract: This paper proposed several existing problems in sci-tech novelty retrieval (Science and Technology Novelty Retrieval), including communications with customers, resource constructions, retrieval strategies, work ethics, expert consultation and audit, and so on. For higher quality, the first thing is to keep full communications with customers in details and hold accurate retrieval strategies. Secondly, personnel quality and work ethics are playing important factors in the process of sci-tech novelty retrieval. When disputes or difficulties are coming into being in the process, advice of experts will strongly support sci-tech novelty retrieval.

Abstract: Nature offers a great deal of opportunities for mimicking and inspirations which are already there for long periods and evolve by themselves. A number of scientists from different backgrounds are using it as an inspiration for their designs i.e. material science, algorithms, robotic arms and manufacturing systems. From the conceptual point of view, when designing a product, different approaches can be used, for example similarities in the geometrical form and the functionality. The fact that the inspirations from nature have a number of restrictions due to the lack of common terminology and frameworks platforms for all sciences, can form the main advantage in the area of conceptual product design (CPD). This is true because CPD is more of an art than an actual science and for this reason can transform the main disadvantages of mimicking to a great extent as a serious advantage. Those inspirations in the conceptual level can lead to further opportunities for research and economic success. A number of illustrative case studies are presented in the paper.

Abstract: The topic about innovations and success factors in innovations has frequently been discussed by researchers and other writers. ‘Innovation’ is different in science for a researcher and in business for an engineer. In science an innovation is something which is ‘interesting’ and it does not have to be useful, but for engineer an innovation must be something ‘new’ and ‘useful’ and does not have to be interesting. Innovation is as a key factor for entrepreneurial activity which has an influence on the competitiveness of enterprises. In today's increasingly competitive environment, managers are having to update themselves on the range of factors that determine innovation success. The aim of the study was to presents success factors in high-tech companies at start-up stage based on individual surveys and compare them with success factors present by other researches.

Abstract: The business ecosystems domain emerged as result to the necessity of assessment of new economic procedures and mechanisms between the economic agents. Defined as a community of interrelated agents, a business ecosystems approach can emphasize the most important features of modern economy. The main purpose of this paper is to provide a comparative analysis of business ecosystems with biological ones in order to identify the most important internal features which can describe the symbiosis process. In biological field, the symbiosis is defined as an association of individuals from different type of species. In the business field, this form of association is defined in terms of co-evolution and cooperation. From this point of view it is important to analyze main species who are involved into this type of relations. The starting point of this research is to define reference dimension whose knowledge is important in order to understand involved entities. At this step the concept of innovation will be considered as knowledge reference. The research method will be conducted based on the identification of different categories of elements, individuals and their integration into specific species. This integration will be realized by grouping individuals according to analyzed common features. The foreseen result is to highlight how the individuals knowledge about innovation contributes to the common vision of the entire group. The next step of the research framework will provide a comparative analysis between the established groups of individuals. The main outcome of this research is to provide a new model of reintegration of individuals from different domains of activity not limited by organizational boundaries. As result, this paper will provide a framework for understanding the symbiosis from two points of views: the fusion process between the agents and the knowledge transfer as its result.
