Abstract: The limitations in the applications of microstrip antenna lead to wastage in the form of space and functionality. In order to overcome the wastage of space and functionality of the microstrip antenna, the new idea is to make one single device of microstrip antenna which has two application at the same time where it can operates as antenna and the function as lighting source is proposed. Light Emitting Diode (LED) has been chosen as the light source since the characteristic and the structure of the LED are suitable for the integration process. Hence, this paper presents an investigation on the characteristic of an H-shaped patch antenna integrated with Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs). The proposed integrated antenna has been designed and simulated by using Computer Simulation Technology (CST) Microwave Studio Software. It has been fabricated and measured to investigate the performance of the antenna in terms of return loss. The results confirms that the antenna can operate at 2.4 GHz and it works well as an illumination.

Abstract: The precast construction industry is associated with a lot of activities, vast effort, many parties and numerous processes. The parties involved in the precast supply chain including the planning, design, manufacturing, transportation, installation and construction should have efficient communication and access to precise and latest information contributing to the enhanced collaboration, sustainability and improving the integration. The aim of this study is to explore the collaboration tools with proposing the cloud system architecture for the precast supply chain management. The research findings are according to the comprehensive review of the literature on supply chain management, precast construction industry and cloud computing. Findings demonstrates the major problems within the precast supply chain phases comprised of poor planning, ineffective communications among designers and manufacturers, incompetent employees and damage to raw materials, large size and heavy precast components and the poor on-site coordination. These major problems within the precast supply chain phases could contribute to negative consequences on the efficiency, productivity and effectiveness of precast delivery. Therefore, to mitigate and overcome these major problems within the precast construction, the cloud computing implementation as the valuable alternative could be delivered to enhance the efficiencies and effectiveness of the collaboration systems. This research propose and establishes the concepts of valuable collaborative tools, for instance the Cloud Computing Information Systems (CCIS), for assisting the processes, activities, information and networks within the precast supply chain management through increasing the opportunities to attain higher competitive advantages. Initially, it is anticipated that this research will result to the enhanced collaboration in order to deliver more competitive advantages and increase the opportunities for the globalisation of the construction industry. Secondly, it proposes an effective technique to establish innovative visions, enhanced productivity, increased effectiveness, improve integration and sustainability leading to efficient collaboration within the construction industry.

Abstract: Bali Island is known not only for its culture and flourish of nature, but it is also for its traditional architecture which is embedded by the traditional philosophies including Tri Hita Karana, Tri Angga, Tri Loka etc. The Indigenous villages, as rural settlements, disclose their Indigenous traditions and values of Balinese culture and architecture which have been inherited from generation to generation. Many scholars have documented the Indigenous villages of Bali in relation to the nature, socio-culture, norms, as well as its architecture. In this paper, through an extensive literature review, and the use of observation, interview and documentation of extant Indigenous villages in Bali, the author explores how the village pattern is relational to the housing pattern in the Indigenous villages in Bali within the landscape that is Bali Island.

Abstract: This paper analyzes the deficiencies and development constraints of the present non-motorized traffic in China. Integrating urban non-motorized lanes, urban landscape belts, urban ecological corridors and urban evacuation routes, the idea of constructing urban green corridor is proposed in this paper, following by preliminarily analyzing the planning objectives, strategies and effects.

Abstract: A new method to infill the opening in the precast fabricated concrete shear wall was applied in China. In this paper, three geometrically identical precast fabricated shear wall specimens were constructed and tested under constant axial load and quasi-static cyclic lateral loading. The only difference among three specimens was the methods to infill the opening in the middle, the methods were respectively integration infill, masonry infill and without infill. The hysteretic curves, the skeleton curves, the failure process, the strain variation of reinforcement, the stiffness, the ductility and energy-dissipating capacity were obtained. The results and analysis showed that integration shear wall owns good seismic performance. Its bearing capacity, stiffness, energy-dissipating capacity are excellent while ductility is relatively poor. Masonry infilled wall and wall without infill also own good seismic performance.

Abstract: Designing of alarm systems represents a set of creative technical activities, which include system design, preparation of project documentation and installation of systems. The proposal of alarm systems is based on the system and technical requirements, which are intended series of branch technical standards. These standards, however, does not solve the problems of evaluating the effectiveness of alarm systems. The aim of this paper is the presentation of the proposal aggregated coefficients, as a basic starting point for evaluating the effectiveness of alarm systems. The effectiveness of alarm systems can be evaluated based on several factors. The first factor is the basic technical level of alarm system. The second factor is the method of application of the alarm system in an object. Other factors may include, for example quality of project, quality of installation or maintenance procedures and services.

Abstract: The discharge permit system has been implemented for more than 20 years in China. Although some rules of discharge permit system can be found in laws and administrative rules and regulations, the discharge permit system has just been carried out as a pilot policy in some provinces. The discharge permit system only serves as a complementary measure of emissions reporting, registration system and total amount control system, while its important position in pollution management policies is still unclear. In fact, it can reduce the transaction cost by defining the property rights, to solve the problems of “free riders” and externalities in the first place. However, the pollution prevention system in China mostly works at a certain stage, with the lack of cohesion and connection. To problems existing in the environmental management, we should take advantage of the discharge permit system, and integrate the current environmental management system. The goal of atmospheric administration is better air quality, better public health, better public welfare, and better production capacity. To achieve this goal, we not only need to control total emissions, but also need to build continuously emission standards. Through the establishment of the atmospheric emission permit system, some of existing loose jumbled, high cost, inefficient management policies can be integrated together, which can benefit the improvement of the air quality, the reduction of the management cost and the increase of the management efficiency. The discharge permit system was first implemented in Sweden, after years of practice, its role in environmental management gains recognition. The discharge permit system in developed countries gradually became the pillar of pollution prevention, and became more institutionalized and normalized. The discharge permit system in China was first implemented in 1987, but our country doesn’t have a law of discharge permit system until now, and we have a certain gap with USA, Germany in emissions trading.

Abstract: The temperature-heat duty (T-Q) graph method is provided to save energy for the distillation process of the mixtures with wide-boiling range. It is a visual method to find the heat sources and heat sinks, to use different utilities reasonably, and to realize the energy recovery, such as the steam generation or the heat integration. Through adjusting the operating pressures of some different column sections, the heat integration can be realized, and the multi-effect distillation flowsheet can be obtained. One case is studied and the result showed that the given method is easy and convenient for the engineers to design or to retrofit the distillation process in the interest of energy saving.

Abstract: With the popularity of the network and mobile Internet, numerous social network platforms appeared in the world. Also, there have been a large number of users using a plurality of social network platforms at the same time. When these users use multiple social network platforms, they need to overcome many difficulties such as switching social network client applications frequently and so on. This article takes consideration of the needs of the multiple social networks’ users, proposing a solution to solve multi-barrier problem, and demonstrating the feasibility and effectiveness of the method by actual cases.
