Abstract: As the backbone of the national science and technology development, intellectual property management of scientific research project has become one of the most important links in the intellectual property’s protection and management in China. With the policy deconstruction and reconstruction method, the critical steps of the intellectual property management have been isolated from the policy documents and combined back together to build the whole process system of intellectual property management in scientific research project. Three elements of a system, participators, process and productions, have been identified and reasonably reconstructed to build the system.

Abstract: In this paper, the petroleum college students make a preliminary exploration about how to develop information literacy, making a helpful attempt for the growth and success of college students. As the highly development of the informational technology, we are surrounded by a large variety of information. It is of vital important to have proper information literacy. As a student of Petroleum College, which is trained for oil field as a senior technical personnel by Petroleum College, should adapt to the development of the times, constantly improve their information literacy in themselves.

Abstract: For the research about the protection of intellectual property , scholars both at home and abroad mostly focus on the protection of the law itself and macroscopic protection strength. Whats more, from the micro perspective, there are very few study about the protection of intellectual property rights inside the business enterprise, and also there are few study that could identify property value and promote the effective protection of the property through auditing the information about intellectual property. Therefore, based on Chinese reality, this paper puts forward the information audit which focus on the independent innovatively intellectual property, defined the audit main body, object, emphasized some points about the audit process based on the particularity of property information and finally gave some related suggestions.

Abstract: There is an ever increasing demand and innovation worldwide in the area of materials research in aerospace industry. Research on materials is the focused area in aerospace sector because reducing aircraft/spacecraft weight and/or increasing the temperature capabilities is the key factor in increasing the performance. Hence there is always an urge on the development of advanced materials especially in the area of light weight, High temperature resistant materials. There are different ways of keeping abreast on current state of art on the development of advanced materials namely reading Journal publications, attending conferences/seminars or performing intellectual property (IP) analysis specifically looking at patents. Patent portfolio indicates the technology and research direction of a company. Intellectual property plays a key role in the present global competitive world. It is not only an asset for the company but also helps in increasing the bottom line of an organization. Hence, an attempt was made to look at the global patent scenario of materials used for aerospace industry. A high level scan of aerospace materials patent portfolio in the past 20 years was done to understand the current technology focus and trend of materials research. The study was restricted to Aerospace/Aviation Players. Four different types of Materials are considered for the study namely Light weight metals (includes Al and Ti alloys), Superalloys, High temperature coatings and Composites. A further deep dive analysis on the above materials has been done to understand the Industry focus on various technology areas such as Manufacturing, Inspection, Application etc. This analysis helps technologists in understanding the current state of art and research focus in Materials area specific to Aerospace/Aviation Industry

Abstract: This paper presents architecture design and field programmable gate array (FPGA) implementation for Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (W-CDMA) transceiver system. Systems that implement the W-CDMA standard must be flexible enough to accommodate changes with the standard, as well as improvements in capacity enhancement techniques such as adaptive antenna and multi-user detection schemes. FPGAs provide this flexibility. Altera high-density, high-performance programmable logic devices (PLDs) combined with intellectual property (IP) functions and the Quartus II development software provide a complete solution for the wireless communications application. The paper describes how to implement a W-CDMA system that conforms to the IMT-2000 standard using Altera FPGAs and IP functions.

Abstract: Companies and research organizations in the aluminium industry have a number of different strategies for protecting their new developments. Many research organizations have a patent focused strategy to facilitate commercialization of their new technologies. Conversely, primary aluminium producers tend to use patent protection more selectively, as they are able to use other Intellectual Property protection means such as trade secrets to protect their developments. This paper provides an overview of international patent publications from 1995 to 2008 in the field of electrolytic aluminium production and comments on perceived factors driving IP protection of these developments.
