Abstract: In this research, we look at the distribution in a two-echelon divergent system that considers periodic review in determining the optimal order-up-to level and rationing parameters to maintain customer service level target. We consider three policies that can provide assistance to inventory managers/planners for quick and effective in determining a rationing parameter that is flexible and effective with the dynamic nature of the demand during the rationing process. Performance comparisons between these policies are given for various problems including the application in real operational/planning setting, and least deviation from the intended objective amongst them suggests otherwise a better policy to adopt.

Abstract: Supply chain management , so that enterprises not only to face the fierce competition in the international market , and can withstand demand uncertainty and rapid technological innovation and other factors that impact . Production and inventory management is always an important part of business process indispensable , is the added value chain to achieve the important part. In supply chain management, inventory level not only affects the overall cost of a single enterprise , but also restricts the performance of the entire supply chain. Based on the analysis of the traditional inventory management , supply chain theory combined with the latest developments , the use of vendor-managed inventory , joint management of inventory control, inventory control, multi-level strategy, inventory control, supply chain environment for further improvements , making inventory control of the supply chain environment more perfect .

Abstract: As thermo-technical spare parts are essential materials of power plants’ continuous and safe operation, how to guarantee their timely supply in subordinate power plants of the electric power group is a deserved research. Based on the analysis on the classification and electric power groups’ current situation on inventory management of thermo-technical spare parts, the paper presented a basic idea that managing the electric power group’s thermo-technical spare parts at different echelons and administrating them like in a supermarket in e-market way. The paper built a frame model of two-echelon inventory management. The function, structure, operation procedure, information flow and the problems of the e-marketplace’s inventory management are further analyzed. At last, the paper applied method of mathematical model to inventory control. The information and inventory of thermo-technical spare parts between suppliers and the e-marketplace, the e-marketplace and subordinate power plants are integrated and optimized effectively.

Abstract: With the widely acception of extended producer responsibility system, reverse logistics has attracted more and more attention. For manufacturers, reverse logistics activities is not inseparable to the general forward logistics, and they constitute the closed-loop supply chain. Decision makers of enterprises need to control the new products inventory and the recovered materials inventory to make the enterprises get the maximum profit. In this paper, the inventory characteristics under the closed-loop supply chain be analyzed and a inventory model for a single repair period, many production period is proposed .On condition that the number of recovery is controlled by the recycling price and is equal in different cycles, the recovered products can be sold as new.A economic production quantity and recycling price can be solved to make the total cost of a single cycle lowest ,which provides a basis for business decisions.

Abstract: The bullwhip effect was caused by fuzzy demand among the enterprises. In order to reduce this effect, control theory was applied to solve the inventory in supply chain. Firstly, inventory control in supply chain and the bullwhip effect was researched. Secondly, a kind of proportional integral differential (PID) controller was developed for inventory control in a three-level supply chain, and the mathematical model of the PID controller for inventory control was presented. Finally, the results show that the PID controller can evidently alleviate the bullwhip effect and inventory fluctuations under the suitable combination of control gain.

Abstract: Agile supply chain is composed of different enterprises in different areas formed. In the process of agile supply chain; each member enterprises should make a rapid reaction based on the changing market situation, the customer demand and the changing of product information. For a long time, a bottleneck in the overall performance of the supply chain is the inventory, which is only occupy a lot of money, but also affect the accuracy and timeliness of information supply chain channel. The inventory cost control model and inventory time model are built in this paper to achieve minimized inventory costs among manufacturers, distributors and retailers.

Abstract: One significant decision in supply chain management is to determine the configuration of the supply chain network. However, studies that analyze different configurations are rare in the literature. This paper considers a supply chain network consisting of one supplier and a number of retailers. Two different configurations were proposed and were compared in terms of total cost for the network. In the first configuration, retailers directly order to the supplier and hold the inventory to meet the demand of customers. However, in the second configuration, a number of intermediate facilities were established to order products from the supplier and satisfy the demands of retailers. The inventory of retailers in the latter configuration is stored in the intermediate facilities. These two configurations were compared in terms of total cost. Numerical calculations indicate that the latter configuration was preferred in most cases.

Abstract: This paper outlines work carried out in the field of inventory management on remanufacturing. So far numerous authors have proposed quantitative models taking inventory management in remanufacturing into consideration. However, no general framework has been specified yet. Thus, it appears timely for a composed outline of the issues showing up in the context of remanufacturing inventory control. In this review, the area is subdivided into three main fields, in particular inventory policies, deterministic & stochastic models and lead time effects. For each of the aforementioned fields, the models proposed in the literature are reviewed and the areas in necessity of further research are indicated.

Abstract: Existing inventory lot-sizing models assume certain demand and sufficient supply, which are not practical for industry. Dynamic inventory models can serve uncertain demand, but supply is assumed to be available. However, in the real world situation, supply is not always offered. So, the method that can deal with both uncertain demand and supply should be developed. Fuzzy logic control is now being the effective methodology in many applications under uncertainty. Therefore, a fuzzy logic approach for solving the problem of inventory control under uncertainty was proposed for a case study factory. In the proposed Fuzzy Inventory System (FIS), both demand and availability of supply are described by linguistic terms. Then, the developed fuzzy rules are used to extract the fuzzy order quantity and the fuzzy reorder point continuously. The order quantity and reorder point are both adjusted according to the FIS system. In this research, the suitable ranges for the inputs of the FIS model are justified for the case study factory. Moreover, the effect of trend demands for both increase and decrease are also analyzed with the proposed range. Inventory costs of the proposed fuzzy inventory system are compared with the existing model based on historical data of the case study factory. It found that the proposed range can obtain lower cost than the previous research FIS lot-sizing model, which is better than conventional approaches.

Abstract: Firstly, considering the actual status and the characteristics of equipment management, the typical EOQ model was studied. Secondly, taking the ordering model with random demand as the research object, the inventory model under the condition with definite demand was established, and the optimal solution was given out. Finally, the simulation and calculation were carried out for a numerical example. The result shows the reasonable and applicable of the model.
