Abstract: Isoparametric B-spline wavelet functions can provide excellent approximation for smooth functions. In this paper, the response of composite laminated plate subjected to explosions is analyzed by using a double thick beam FEM mode based on the spline wavelet function. This mode, which can be considered in the distribution of normal stress and transverse shear stress simultaneously, is very important in the analysis of thick plate or blast-damage mechanism. The mode in analyzing underground structure and earth medium respond has the advantage of high precision and fast constringency and is easy to establish a element displacement function. The comparison between simulative and experimental results shows the effectiveness and precision of this method.

Abstract: When establishing the prestressed bridge model with the entity unit, the simulation of prestress bar has very big limitation. The paper takes 20 nodes isoparametric element as an example and puts forward a kind of numerical method combined with the Newton iterative algorithm and Gauss integral algorithm to calculate equivalent loads of prestress in body element. This method can be used to calculate the equivalent loads of prestress in the various complex steel in bundle shapes and suits the computer programming. Through the final regular inspection, this method has been proved to have very high precision.

Abstract: In this paper the effect of semi die angle on drawing load in cold tube drawing has been investigated numerically using the finite element method. The equation governing the stress distribution was derived and solved using Galerkin finite element method. An isoparametric formulation for the governing equation was utilized along with C0 cubic isoparametric element. Numerical experimentation showed that the results obtained using the present method is very close to the analytical solution and more accurate than finite difference solution. Having established the accuracy of the present solution method, parametric studies were carried out to show the effect of semi die angle on the drawing load for different tube drawing processes. The analysis was carried out using a Visual Basic.Net program developed by the authors. The results are presented in both graphical and tabular forms.

Abstract: Nonlinear constitutive law was used in this paper. On the basis of plain section assumption, through isoparametric element theory, nonlinear secant and tangent stiffness matrices of section were derived. Nonlinear equation was solved by Newton-Raphson method. The bearing mechanism under the eccentric compression was revealed by changing eccentricity and position coefficient. The result is found to be in good agreement with the experimental data, and it shows that large and minor eccentricity failure mode, which are similar to reinforced concrete, are existed in steel tube-reinforced concrete column. In addition, force-moment correlation curve is derived. By calculation and comparison. The ultimate capacity is found to be greatly underestimated in the current technical specification.
