Abstract: This paper was concerned with the effect of soil release treatment on the UV blocking effect of 100% cotton knitted fabric with different types of structure. UV measurement was carried out using a spectrophotometer and the results revealed that soil release treatment did not provide significant UV blocking effect on the cotton knitted fabrics.

Abstract: In this paper, dyeability of Shengma fiber knitted fabric is investigated with reactive dyes in one bath process. Orthogonal analysis method is used to optimize and find the optimal dyeing process, and then reach the optimal dyeing effect.

Abstract: This study is an attempt to optimize the parameters for the neckline of children’s T-shirts. Experiments are made with six different kinds of knitted fabrics to analyse the relationships between fabric performance, sewing conditions and the neckline elongation of T-shirts. The result shows that there is a high correlation between course density, wale density, linear density, and T-shirt neckline. A multivariate regression analysis results in the establishment of a mathematical model, through which the neckline elongation can be obtained without sample trials so that the parameters for children’s T-shirt neckline are optimized and the design process simplified.
