Abstract: Spatial and temporal changes of landscape pattern in Li River basin was analyzed based on Landsat TM and OLI data in 1991 and 2013. Maximum likelihood classification method was used to extract land use information in two periods. In FRAGSTATS platform, the characteristics of landscape types were quantitatively analyzed by selecting landscape index at class level and landscape level. Results showed: (1) the area of forest landscape increased significantly, while shrub and bare rock decreased obviously. (2) landscape types were characteristic of high inner homogeneity and low heterogeneity. (3) the evolution of landscape pattern was significantly affected by human activities and social factors.

Abstract: Small watershed is the basic unit of soil and water conservation management in the Loess Hilly Region, and the spatial distribution of different landscapes for land use in small watershed has restricted a variety of ecological processes and ecological benefits of landscapes. This paper combines a geographic information system (GIS) and statistical analysis to reveal the relationship between the spatial distribution of landscape types and topographic factors such as elevation, slope and aspect so as to explore the influences of topographic factors on the spatial distribution pattern of different ecological restoration measures. Gaojianbao Watershed, a typical loess hilly region , is the study area. A land-use map (scale1:50000,2013) of the study area and the topographic map (1:100,000) were used as the base data. The study area is divided into 8 landscape types by the classification of ecological restoration measures. The results showed that: topographic factor is an important factor affecting the watershed ecological restoration, and the spatial distribution of ecological restoration landscapes in Gaojianpu Watershed was significantly associated with topographic factors, featuring obvious vertical distribution. With the rise of elevation, the distribution of landscape types showed the order of ditch protection forest to fruit forest to afforestation (grassland restoration) to barren hills under natural enclosing to level terrace to fish-scale pit to barren hill under afforestation; the spatial distribution of each landscape component was greatly influenced by slope, and the distribution ratio first increased gradually and then decreased; when the aspect shifts from shady to sunny, the distribution ratio of landscapes like afforestation (grassland restoration), level terrace and barren hills under afforestation decreased while the distribution ratio of barren hills under natural enclosing and fruit forests increased, and the landscapes of fish-scale pits and ditch protection forests were basically not affected by aspect.

Abstract: Based on the spatial land use database of Mingcheng town of Panshi City in Jilin, fractal dimension and stability of land use types are studied by using GIS technology and fractal theory. The land use is classified into 7 types: cropland, garden plot, wood land, water, road land, industrial and mining, residential areas, unused land, and other lands. The fractal dimension for the patches of the land use types is analyzed. Results showed that all the land use types have fractal characteristics and the fractal dimension (D) values vary from 1.1028 to 1.6638. In terms of the land use stability given by the fractal dimension, the order of the land use types from high to low is water, industrial and mining residential areas, cropland, wood land, unused land, road land, garden plot. And land use shape index, fragmentation index and the separation index in the spatial distribution law are largely affected by human activities influence and interference, then it can provided reference for the reason utilizing of land resource.

Abstract: This paper aims at landscape environment problems of small towns in cold area, the ecological principle, landscape planning and design combining with economics, discusses make use of original equipment and resources ,on the basis of the original small towns ecological landscape in the cold area,the feasibility of the protection and repairment to the ecological landscape in small towns ,probes the mode in ecological landscape industrialization in the universal small towns of cold area, so as to ameliorate the malpractices bring about by the extensive mode of current economic development in the small towns,to open up another road for the development of economy in small towns.

Abstract: This article analyzes the general characteristics and its causes of the landscape pattern of land use, taking the Tuanjie town of DaoWai district in Harbin as an example. Using GIS and Fragstats software to calculate a series of landscape index, the data show that Tuanjie town is given priority to with agriculture landscape, and the landscape patch connectivity is stronger; the overall landscape patch shape is complex, showing the human activities interfere significantly; and each patch type concentration and fragmentation is quite different. Therefore, based on the use of their own advantages, put forward reasonable suggestions to the landscape optimization of Tuanjie town land use.

Abstract: The article is studying on the Haikou city, using Remote Sensing technique and GIS technology, with ArcGIS, ERDAS, FRAGSTAS, analyzing the temporal and spatial variation of landscape in Haikou City from 2000 to 2010, drawing the conclusion: residents, construction, farmland and forest land is the main part of landscape pattern and increased rapidly. Besides the decrease of unused land and water area, it also reflects that not only the landscape fragmentation degree of the integral sight in Haikou City in relatively high, but the landscape fragmentation degree of the residents, construction, farmland and forest land, which are the main part of Haikou City , is also relatively high.. Besides, the data also shows that each landscape didn’t connect well and the exchange of material energy among landscapes is not smoothly, which go against the mutual development between the landscape. However, the distribution of landscape in Haikou City is fairly balanced. There is no particularly advantaged type, which contributes to the balanced development of the landscape.

Abstract: The landscape pattern is often obviously changed at the disturbed area of the large hydropower projects. The landscape pattern of Xiangjiaba hydropower project was analyzed using the geographic information systems technology and the method of landscape pattern index to uncover the effect of hydropower project. Based on the data of GPS, aerial photography pictures and field investigation at Xiangjiaba hydropower’ disturbed area in 2012, the map of landscape pattern and land use was drawn using ArcGIS 10.0, and landscape pattern index was figured out using FRAGSTATS 4.0. The result showed that the total landscape was heterogeneous with 10 kinds of patch types at the disturbed area of Xiangjiaba hydropower project. These patches were ranked by area as: woodlands> farmland> township and village > river >engineering land > shrubs> abandoned land> artificial grassland> waters > open forests. The dominated landscape patch was woodlands with the largest area. The artificial grassland, farmland, engineering land, and woodland were fragmented seriously with high under the influence of human activity and natural condition.

Abstract: The wetland distribution in the modern Yellow River Delta is extracted by using a combination method of supervised classification based on the Landsat TM images in 1991, 2001 and 2011. The changes of wetland were analyzed from landscape index in the paper. The result shows that the area of natural wetland degrades, while the area of artificial wetland increases from 1991 to 2011. The transfer trajectory of spatial centroids of the wetland shows that it shifts towards southeast. Man-made driving forces are the main factors that cause natural wetlands degrades.

Abstract: An application of GIS and the landscape pattern analysis software FRAGSTAS were used for research the changes of landscape structure nearly 14 years of Huihe basin in the hulunbuir prairie. The results show that, (1) from 1995 to 2010, cultivated land, grassland, basin forest area decreased, other land use type area were increased, and sand was the most obvious. From the grass internal structure change, low coverage in the grass and grassland area coverage in the proportion of total area decrease by 0.4% and 7.2% respectively in 14 years, and the high coverage grassland area ratio increases by 3.3%. Internal composition structure of forest land, the most significant change was shrubbery area, the area is reduced by 2.57%, the proportion of forestland of increased by 2.05%, and the proportion of open woodland area does not change significantly. (2) the land use type conversion frequently in basin area, large area and large proportion of the land use type conversion mainly in farmland, forest land, meadow and the sand. In the province, the main cultivated land into high, medium, and in the forest coverage grass, shrub and grass high coverage into cultivated land; Wetland overall increased; Sand of forest area into grass and open woodland, medium and low coverage grass coverage into the sand in the grass province. landscape pattern driving force analysis shows that the climate warming and human activities on the trend and rational use of natural resources, which lead the Huihe basin in the service function of ecological to degradation.

Abstract: Three phases of remote sensing image data of Yalu-river estuary wetland taken respectively in 1983、1995 and 2007 were interpreted though ARCGIS software and the change of landscape pattern was analyzed with three categories of indices from the landscape pattern and landscape levels by means of using FRAGSTATS software. Results show that the 1983-2007, the research area of wetland landscape changes drastically, wetland landscape made of natural wetlands to artificial wetland, wetland fragmentation degree deepening, artificial wetland distribution area expanded. During the study period, the influence of human activities on the wetland increase and increase in area of sea aquaculture is the main cause of the yalu estuary wetland area reducing, is also one of the main reasons for the region function of wetland degradation.
