Abstract: Ginkgo landslide, located in Ginkgo village, Xixia County in Henan province, is a large earthiness landslide. Considering its serious deformation and the possible serious instability disaster of the landslide, GPS was chosen to monitor this landside. This paper systematically introduces the monitoring program design, data acquisition, data processing, data analysis when GPS was used in Ginkgo landslide monitoring. According to GPS monitoring result analysis, the landslide is at a stage of constant speed deformation. And the rainfall is the main factor inducing the landslide sliding. It’s suggested that close attention should be paid to the landslide when encounter rainstorm, heavy rain or a long time raining so that to relief and prevent disasters.

Abstract: Three-dimensional laser scanning technology, short for 3D laser scanning technology, is another innovation in surveying and mapping technology after GPS space positioning technology. This paper introduces the 3D laser scanning technology applied in the Ginkgo landslide monitoring. In this paper, the monitoring schematic design, data acquisition, data processing and data analysis are systematically introduced. It follows that Ginkgo landslide overall deformation characteristics, 3D laser scanning technologys strengths and weaknesses in the landslide monitoring. It is promising for the application of 3D laser scanning technology in landslide monitoring.

Abstract: Traditional regression analysis methods such as Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) are usually used to explore data relations, but they cannot reflect the spatial non-stationarity of the data. Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) is an effective tool for dealing with this situation, whereas there has not any related studies about using GWR to analyze the landslide surface deformation. This paper tries to base on a typical reservoir-type landslide in Three Gorges Reservoir area of Yangtze River, China, and uses monitoring data, to build OLS and GWR model between landslide surface displacements and trigger factors by ArcGIS. Analysis showed that the GWR model has greater R2 and smaller Akaike information criterion (AIC) value, and the residuals spatial autocorrelation degree can be significantly reduced then the OLS model, what means the GWR model can capture the spatial non-stationarity of independent variables and is more reliable in analysis of landslide surface deformation.

Abstract: Rainfall infiltration and reservoir water level fluctuation are major factors inducing slope deformation. Taking nearly three years data of Bazimen landslide in the Three Gorges Reservoir area and basing on the mathematical regression analysis method, a mathematical relationship among landslide deformation, water level and rainfall is established. And then the most adverse condition under the superposi¬tion of rainfall and reservoir water level is obtained.

Abstract: On the base of the obtained materials and considering the factors of composition features, dynamic mechanism and deformation-motion characteristics, the three-dimension numerical simulation model is generated. And the parameters of Young module, passion ratio and shear strength are obtained. Then the calculation conditions are extracted from the combination of the inducible factors and the displacement features. After that, the deformation failure are simulated by the FLAC3D code, and the results are compared to the monitoring data. The results indicate that the influence of the water impoundment on the stability of the landslide is small, the water descending is large. For the front part monitoring points, the amounts and the curve shapes of the numerical calculation results are accord with the practical ones, but for the monitoring point in back there are only the similarities in the curve shapes, and the amounts are a little smaller.
