Abstract: Light steel temporary building is commonly used in the construction site, with advantages on simple structure, repeat used and small deadweight. There are still not enough researches and relevant standards to conduct the design and construction of the buildings. In order to precede to theoretical study on integral structure of light steel temporary buildings a method which used to set up finite element analysis model about integral structure of light steel temporary buildings was proposed in this paper. The method is based on finite element analysis software, Ansys. Using this method a monolayer integral structure, a two-story integral structure and a trilaminar integral structure model were set up. Lateral displacement under design load of the integral structure was solved out by these finite element models.

For light steel temporary structure building there are still not enough researches on the mechanical properties and mechanism of action, and there are still not enough relevant standards and requirements to conduct the design and construction of the buildings. In order to precede to theoretical study on frame structure of light steel temporary buildings a method by Finite Element Analysis was proposed. This method is based on FEA software, Ansys. Using this method a monolayer frame structure and a two-story frame structure and a trilaminar frame structure model were analyzed. The calculation results of horizontal displacements under design loads by FEA were obtained and discussed.

Abstract: Static tests were conducted on integral structure of light steel temporary buildings under wind load. The mechanical behavior and the deformation performance of the structure were investigated. A kind of new system of load distribution beams was applied, which imposed the horizontal loads and simulated the uniformly distributed wind load. The load-displacement curves of the columns were obtained. And the strains of the columns and the wall panels were obtained also. The performances of the light steel temporary building are summarized and discussed.
