Abstract: Line heating is an important technique for processing hyperboloidal outside plate of ship hull. To realize the automation of the line heating, the deformation rule in line heating should be researched. In this paper, the computer vision measurement technique is applied to find out the disciplinarian of linear deformation in line heating. The principle of computer vision measurement is firstly introduced in this paper. The emphases are the images collection, camera calibration, edge detection, and 3D data reconstruction. Then some key techniques for ensuring the measurement precision are presented. At last, the result of experiments is given. The experiments showed that the measurement system was valid for measuring the linear deformation of line heating.

Abstract: Land subsidence in urban area is becoming a severe geological hazard disturbing the urban construction and development. Persistent Scatterer Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (PSInSAR) technique has demonstrated a good capability of monitoring the large scale land deformation. High resolution and short wave radar data can help to improve the precision of deformation detection based on PSInSAR. In this paper, 15 scenes of TerraSAR-X SAR data are used to derive the estimation of the subsidence rate in the Wuqing district, Tianjin city in China. The combination of TIN and nearest-connection method (NCM) are first used to establish the differential network model. The results show that high resolution TX image can dramatically increase the valid PSs and improve investigation reliability, especially in linear man-made constructs.

Abstract: In this work, we report the development of “one piece” electrochemical actuator fibers, presenting linear deformations, and working in open-air. The hollow fiber shaped actuators are synthesized as three components Interpenetrating Polymer Network (IPN). The electronic conducting polymer (ECP), poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT), is embedded in a hollow fiber shape matrix working as two ECP concentric electrodes. The host matrix which presents an IPN type architecture is composed of two poly(ethylene oxide) networks, crosslinked in the presence of each other. Strains up to 3 % and forces between 50 and 300 mN are realized in a two electrodes configuration, in open-air.
