Abstract: Hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) has wide variety of possible applications in different fields as from the metallurgy to the cosmetic products. This hBN microstructure provided excellent lubricating properties and then had potential to apply on metal surface in order to improve friction and prevented the metal substrate from oxidation. In this study, the several concentrations of hBN were added into epoxy resin and coated on the carbon steel substrate. The results indicated that the optimum concentration of used hBN increased water contact angle and prevented carbon steel substrate from oxidation. This useful knowledge can be further used to support industrial work especially in preventive corrosion/oxidation field.

Abstract: For investigating the effect of ultrasonic treatment on the cooling and lubricating action of cutting fluid, an ultrasonic treatment system of emulsion fluid was developed to be used in cutting experiments. And the comparison experiments were carried out with YT15 tool turning 45 steel, under the conditions of dry cutting, fluid and ultrasonic treatment fluid. The results show that as ultrasonic treatment one used cutting forces decrease about 10%-15% and 5%-10% to dry cutting and fluid; the cutting deformation coefficients reduce too; and the machined surfaces are enhanced. Therefore, the cooling and lubricating performances of the fluid are improved by ultrasonic treatment. As a result, the using quantity of emulsion fluid would reduce indirectly, and this help to energy saving and emission reducing.

Abstract: This paper analyzes the influence of lubricating oil film of the low-speed and heavy-load sliding bearing on a variety of factors. It introduces the operation of Bearing for lubricating oil film in monitoring method, common fault causes and treatment measures. Finally, the bearing cooling system structure is discussed, providing reference for practical engineering application. There are many reasons to cause the failure of the bearing lubrication such as bearing assembly defects, the error of size and cooling system problems. By detecting and contrast parameters, this study analyze the determine data and correct the fault. Through the use of reasonable structure of the oil tank and cooling water channel, we can improve the lubrication performance, and extend the bearing life. This paper analyzes the factors restricting the low speed and high load sliding bearing lubricant film, and solves the actual bearing lubrication problem.

Abstract: In this paper, dialkyl dithiocarbamate molybdenum (MoDTC) as a friction reducing additive was used for compound synthetic lubricant. The tribological properties of MoDTC were investigated using the MFT-R 4000-high-speed reciprocating friction and wear tester. And the results showed that the PAO +10wt% PEG +0.3wt% MoDTC have the best friction reducing and anti-wear properties.

Abstract: Effective cooling and lubricating is got by use a small amount of cutting fluid in MQL grinding. Compare grinding performance under various cooling lubrication, reasonable grinding temperature, lower grinding force, improved surface quality and extended wheel life is got in MQL grinding. The grinding performance of MQL grinding is also influenced by many factors, such as the nozzle shape, position, distance, and MQL flow rate.

Abstract: The machinability of Nickel-based superalloy GH4169 is poor, the traditional methods to machining is application of cutting fluids with the active additives which cause environmental pollution and health problems. In this paper, the water vapor was applied on milling instead of cutting fluids for the aim of green milling GH4169. The effects of water vapor, oil emulsion and dry cutting on milling force and the surface roughness have been examined with carbide tools YG6A. The results of experiments indicated that application of water vapor produced lower milling force, the values were reduced about 7 percent compared to dry cutting, and it is advantage in surface roughness. The research results show that clean production was achieved in metal cutting associated with water vapor cooling and lubricating.

Abstract: Gear oil pump with the circle-arc and cycloid tooth profiles is a kind of inner meshed gear pump. The research on lubricating capability of the kind of pump is very lacking, though they are widely applied for many fields. The lubricant medium film thickness was calculated and the change trends of film thickness were found, combining characteristic of pump with the arc-cycloid tooth profiles. Calculating results indicate that full film lubrication can be easily formed at meshing zone when the pump was running. This shows that meshing efficiency of this kind of gear pump was good and wear quantity was small.

Abstract: Magnetron sputtering metallic or non-metallic materials on epoxy resin coating surface can effectively reduce the friction, improve the wear resistance and inhibit the abrasion, loss and so on. Sputtering Ti/C on the epoxy resin coating can modify the surface, it is proved that the friction can be reduced and wear resistance can be improved on different levels by the experimental results, and in this paper, the mechanism of friction reduction and wear resistance improvement is also investigated and researched comprehensively. By analysis, the layered structure produced by sputtering C can play an important role of lubricating, and the diamond film or diamond-like carbon film can exist on the coating surface, which can play an important role of wear resistance. This study lays the foundation for research on the modification of coating surface.
