Abstract: In view of the fact that the load on the transmission element under extreme pressure conditions is much greater than that used in traditional machine tools, the contact surface between the ball and the track must bear great stress. Furthermore, it will heat up due to friction after starting and running. These effects are prone to material deformation and fatigue damage, and may even lead to the disappearance of the lubricating oil film. They are prone to surface damage due to metal fatigue, and then a serious situation of large pieces of peeling occurs for the linear guides. In order to prolong the fatigue life of the machine tools, this study investigates the effects of the lubricants on the tribology properties under the extreme pressure for the induction-treated linear guides.

Abstract: Soot particles are produced during combustion process in the diesel engine. These particles will later exhaust into the thermosphere and part of them will contaminate the engine oil. When the lubricant is contaminated with soot, diesel engine abrasion or in a worst-case scenario lubricant starvation occurs. This situation will eventually lead into engine ware. High volume of soot also raises acid level of the area. If this state co-occurs with high temperature of the engine and volatile gases during operation, engine corrosion may also be produced. This research study the effect of additive volume on the dispersion of soot in engine oil and effect of additive on size and volume of soot which affect to mechanism of ware in metal by tribology four-ball tester, image analysis by scanning electron microscope and particle size analysis by laser diffraction technique.

Abstract: Did property evaluation of engine test on shelf with the synthetic aircraft lubricating oil of corrosion inhibiting, detect the systematical parameters of engine, and the viscosity, acid number, flashing point, change of metal element of test oil. The results show that the new developed product has excellent antioxidation at high temperature, antiwear and lubricating performance, corrosion inhibition and anti-foam performance. And also has excellent long-term storage stability and service performance.

Abstract: This paper based on the scattering principle of lubricating oil to light, designed the plan of making use of near-infrared light to monitor automobile lubricating oil, and hereby it to monitor the deteriorated condition of lubricating oil. Experiments show that: this kind of technology for monitoring automobile lubricating oil can satisfy the deterioration condition monitor demand of automobile lubricating oil, and give the instructions of the lubricating oil deterioration degree, so we can decide whether the lubricating oil can continue to use according to it. This method changed the traditional conditions that replace the lubricating oil according to time or the driving mileage, it realized replacing lubricating oil according to the quality, thus it makes the lubricating oil obtain the reasonable economy service life, and guaranteed the good lubrication condition of vehicles.

Abstract: With the development of computer technology, communication technology, electronic technology and automatic control technology, computer control technology widespread application, has been widely used in iron and steel, petroleum, chemical, electric power, building materials, machinery manufacturing, automotive, textile, transportation and other industries. Controlled by computer, we can realize the control of high reliability, process visualization, remote monitoring, data storage and processing. The simulation of PID control algorithm, and focuses on the study and analysis of the digital PID control algorithm, the marine gear lube oil temperature control system model, the three parameters of digital PID: proportional coefficient, integral constant, differential constant on the control system performance was also analyzed.

Abstract: The paper describes synthesis and evaluation of polymeric additives for improving the flow properties of lubricating oils. The polymer (AAV) was prepared by the free-radical initiated polymerization of methacryl esters (A14) with acrylamide and vinyl acetate. A14 and AAV were characterized by infrared spectroscopy (IR). Three lubricating oils were selected as the test oil samples and the effect of solidification point depressant (ΔSP) with different mass fractions and other physicochemical characteristics of the samples with and without AAV added were investigated. In order to analyze the effect of AAV on the viscosity of lubricating oils, viscosity-temperature curves were plotted. The results showed that AAV not only had a good effect on dropping solidifying point for Yanshan lubricating oils, but also had a good effect on dropping viscosity; what’s more, other physicochemical characteristics of lubricating oil have little changes before and after AAV added.

Abstract: Aiming the lubricating oil quality can cause the machine failure and decrease operating time, its impurities can also change the oil capacitance, the online detecting system which based on the LabVIEW virtual programming language is designed. LabVIEW can make data collection, processing, display, memory, etc, implementing the online monitoring of the lubricating oil. This design greatly decrease the workload of the staff, reduce the detecting time, raise the testing efficiency of the equipment and measure the various impurity content of lubricating oil more accuracy.

Abstract: Auto-ignition behavior of lubricating oil is studied experimentally using a cone calorimeter. Based on its Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), the adopted lubricating oil has a flash point temperature of 228°C, The measurement of auto-ignition behavior was carried at atmospheric pressure in range of temperature between 350°C to 550°C. In this work, the optical density of smoke resulting from the combustion process was measured at auto-ignition temperature. The result of this study shows that the auto-ignition behavior of lubricating oil is strongly depend on conditions of gas mixture, i.e. oil vapor, nitrogen, and oxygen mixtures. The lubricating oil started to ignite at irradiance temperature of cone heater at 500°C with a measured heat flux value of 16,7 kW/m2. At lower temperatures ignition of the mixture occured by piloted igniton sources. No ignition was observed at temperature less than 350°C. At higher irradiance temperature and heat flux (550°C and 21,1 kW/m2), auto-ignition occured at shorter time to ignition and producing higher value of smokes optical density of 1 - 1.4 m-1.

Abstract: Acid value is one of the most important indexes in the detection of lubricating oil, the testing of which has been widely used in the corrosive and quality characterization of petroleum products. So far there is no widely adaptive method and instrument faced with acid value. By the use of impedance method, this paper has used AD5933 to establish a detection system on acid value and achieve detection without chemical and judgment. Convenient setting of parameters and processing and storage of data are realized by the virtual instrument technology. Based on serial communication and virtual I2C communication, timely two-way traffic of statistics is achieved. The checkout of the system is accomplished by the known impedance. According to GB on the test of acid value, through the preparation of oil samples, the feasibility and operability of the system are justified and the best test conditions are determined.

Abstract: In order to detect lubricating oil moisture content quickly, and replace lubricating oil of equipment in time , impedance type moisture content of lubricating oil detecting system based on AD5933 and cylindrical coaxial capacitive sensor are explored. The paper selected the excitation voltage amplitude and frequency reasonably, and studied the relationship between water content of lubricating oil and impedance value. The result suggests that when the excitation voltage amplitude is 2V, the frequency ranges from 4 kHz to 6 kHz, moisture content of lubricating oil is closely related to impedance value and lubricating oil resistance value decreases with the increase of its moisture content. In addition, the mathematical model between moisture content of lubricating oil and the impedance value is established, moisture content of lubricating oil can be calculated according to the impedance value.
