Abstract: This paper deals with the specific technological process applied for the powder coating the pipe profiles as a part of interior, exterior and design manufacturing materials. In the introduction and first chapter of the paper, the main characteristics, possibilities, benefits and deficiencies of this progressive coating technology utilization applied in the manufacturing industry are described. The main part of the paper specifies the whole technological process related to the pipe profiles coating, contains the design of the specialized equipment (hanging hook) for hanging the pipe profiles on the beam and presents the sample calculation of the coating consumption for the specific metal element. This equipment was constructed and practically verified by the authors in real manufacturing environment. In conclusion, the possible applications of this coating technology for structurally similar materials are emphasized. The aim of the powder coating technology utilization simultaneously with using the proposed hanging equipment is to apply the coating specifically to those parts where it is desirable. This leads to reduction of the overall capital and operating costs and increasing the efficiency of the manufacturing process. In addition, the coating technology is considered to be environmentally friendly due to recyclability of the redundant coating.

Abstract: Renewable energy is an ideal source of power, with advantages such as low pollution, low energy consumption, sustainability, and an inexhaustible supply of energy. The method of importance-performance analysis (IPA) is frequently applied to measure satisfaction and to improve competitive strategies. In this study, we perform a complete analysis of the operational performance of Taiwanese renewable energy industries. A wind power company was recruited as a case study, and IPA was employed to survey and evaluate the company’s competitive performance. Subsequently, the results were used as a guide to improve the performance of the company.

Abstract: Adoption of lean production in managing the production operations with a cleaner production due to of environmental concerns positively drive new manufacturing paradigm in the manufacturing environment. This leads to this study being carried out, in order to investigate the extent of which these practices has been adopted in Malaysia’s manufacturing industry. The finding revealed that good performance in environmental practice in tandem with the appraisal of labour safety in material handling has helped the respondents to successfully sustain the quality and durability of products, improves the operation efficiency, as well as production’s productivity. Aside from that, the correlation test results between all items in LP and CP have a significant positive relationship with each other where the appraisal in the selection of equipment from CP practices have a very strong relationship with the improvement of working conditions that resulted from the adoption of LP practices. These potentially make both practices as the best approach that has potential to be integrated together to support the development of a sustainable manufacturing practice principally in Malaysia’s manufacturing industry.
