Abstract: aiming at the difficulty of dynamic evaluation and realizing innovation in Product Family Evolution (PFE), an evaluation method of the product family for mass customization is presented by analyzing the influences of customer needs, enterprise resources and product data in the implementation process of Product Family (PF). From the perspective of time and space, the dynamic and static relative of PFE is summarized. In order to judge the situation of current product family and achieve the evolution innovation of product family, a comparative evaluation model for the product family based on Grey Conjunction Degree is established. Finally, the effectiveness and feasibility of the method were proved by evaluation and analysis of Small Wheel Loaders (SWLs).

Abstract: According to the overseas and domestic researches on green design and mass customization, this paper does research on green product configuration design method based on the three configuration algorithms, and proposes a new product configuration method aiming at realizing the goal of green design under mass customization (MC). By studying on green design method based on product configuration, strong support is provided for enterprises with green manufacturing both in theory and method.

Abstract: During the early stage of product design, it is important for design engineers to decide the most appropriate functions for various customers. To facilitate this time consuming task, sequential pattern mining is applied to uncover the useful patterns in historical database. The mined sequential patterns can reflect the dynamic change of product functions, which can help design engineers find the most suitable product functions for customers. Based on the historical sales transactions of computer, a case study is conducted to illustrate the proposed method.

Abstract: Mass customization provides products with high variety on demand, at a cost not significantly greater than mass production. Problem at this point is that these product variants lead to process/resource variants what has a negative impact on complexity of manufacturing complexity of such products. In this paper, we present a methodological framework for creating all possible product variants based on unlimited number of optional components while assuming with at least two constant initial components. Development of all possible product architectures is further applied for investigation the impact of product variety decisions on structural complexity of assembly processes. According to the assembly process variants created a specific complexity measure can then be assigned.

Abstract: In this paper, a sweater customization system is designed based on the mass customization mind, which is suitable for Android mobile devices. The key technologies of system developing on Android mobile devices, such as data analysis, image loading, interface connection, are described in the paper. The system is divided into two parts, the client and the server, which are linked by Servlet. The usage of sweater customization system indicates that the sweater mass customization system has broad application prospects.

Abstract: The manufacturing industry is moving toward rapid customization; this has an important effect on the nature of the fixtures that are used to clamp components. The research and application of reconfigurable pin fixture will become a necessity. Development of a reconfigurable pin fixture system is a complex procedure, as it involves many aspects of the system to be integrated: design, process planning, manufacturing, assembly etc. A thorough investigation of previous research into design of reconfigurable pin fixture is made in this paper. The review is comprised of five parts: pin cross-sectional shape, pin tips, pin density, pin actuation method and pin matrix clamping.

Abstract: The detailing of professional division of mobile phone components and parts lays a solid foundation to implement mass customization manufacturing mode in real mobile phone industry. Under mass customization, effective operation of the supply chain cannot do without advanced information system as well as progressive supply chain management methods and technology application. This article states the method of mass customization in mobile phone enterprises mainly from aspects like customer relation management, differentiation delay strategy, products structure and supply chain management in the stage of process development design, logistics management of mobile phones and supply chain coordination management, etc.
