Abstract: Considering the material property of the soil body to the earthquake area and the situation that the law of the deformation of surface points in regions of active seismicity will vary before and after the occurrence of an earthquake, the paper discusses the method to erect a model of vertical deformation in regions of active seismicity using spline function. Finally, it verifies the effectiveness of the method using a simulating network. Some beneficial conclusions are obtained.

Abstract: Considering the material property of the soil body, A method erecting the deformation model of the horizontal deformation monitoring network in the landslide is discussed, it uses the partitioning method to erect the deformation model based on the topographical and the geological condition and the mathematical statistics theory. The method erecting the model can describe the deformation law of the landslides objectively. The example of calculation verifies that the method erecting the model is suitable and feasible.

Abstract: Considering the material property of the building, the building shows the tiny translation and rotation to the initiative period in a observation period, the paper derives minutely the formula that calculates horizontal deformation of the building by using the method of the coordinate transposition. It gives an example of calculation and draws some conclusions.

Abstract: This paper presents an alternative statistical signal analysis method to characterise and determine Youngs modulus property of metallic materials. For this characterisation purpose, we propose an alternative method called Integrated Kurtosis-based Algorithm for Z-notch filter (I-kazTM) and Mesokurtosis Zonal Nonparametric (M-Z-N). Impulsive excitation test has been performed according to ASTM E1876 on three metallic materials of medium carbon steel S50C, stainless steel AISI 304 and brass to measure the piezoelectric and acoustic signals. The transient acoustic signal has been analysed using M-Z-N analysis while I-kazTM has been used to analyse the impulsive piezoelectric signal. Correlation expression between Youngs modulus property and the calculated statistical parameters has been discussed and the accuracy of these two methods has been identified using cast iron FCD 500 specimen.

Abstract: Stent placement has been a main approach to treat gastrointestinal diseases during past decade. Nitinol superelastic stents have been considered as a solution to such difficulties as restenosis after implantation, low twisting ability, inadequate radial mechanical strength and inappropriate dynamic behaviors associated with the ducts. In this paper, effects of Af temperatures on mechanical performance of z-shaped Nitinol wire stent under crimping test for clinical applications are investigated by finite element simulation. Having 60% crimping and high radial resistive strength, favorable superelastic behaviors are attained at Af temperature of 22°C. The performance of the stent is seen to be drastically different with a mere change of 1° in the segments angle.

Abstract: After a Hastelloy C-276 cylindrical part goes through the power spinning process, X-ray detection, and tensile and corrosion tests, the directivity of grains in the cylindrical part is enhanced, and the weld zone strength and post-annealing corrosion resistance greatly promoted.

Abstract: This paper reports on an inverse finite element modelling (FEM) simulation developed from nanoindentation measurement data. The FEM simulation was used to predict the mechanical properties of a thermally treated recycled glass. This material is a patented innovation used to manufacture abrasive media for vibratory mass finishing processes. A parametric study of the accuracy of the simulation results has been completed to verify the FEM and to assess the influence of a variation in sample size, tip geometry, frictional condition and material properties on the force displacement curves during the loading and unloading stages. Also examined were the mesh density sensitivity and the effect of object boundary condition. The model was post-processed employing novel objective optimization algorithms in order to determine comprehensive material properties. It was found from the proposed optimization algorithms that the mechanical properties of an assumed elastic perfectly plastic material can be determined using only a single indenter geometry. The nanoindentation results show that the heat treatment cycle has a substantial effect on the predicted mechanical properties of the recycled glass.

Abstract: Considering the material property of the rock to the dangerous rock mass, the paper Looks the model parameter of AR( 1) model as the status vector, and uses Kalman filter method to analysis the deformation of the dangerous rock mass. The result shows that the method can improve the accuracy of fitting and forecasting of the model.

Abstract: In recent years, with the development of mechanical automation, automation system had been developed quickly, and it covers different fields in different areas. As for automation learning system, it had been developed by some researchers and learners for its fast speed and energy-saving properties. At the same time, automation learning system is also useful for trainers to develop and improve. Therefore, the author had made some investigations and tried to dig out its advantages and disadvantages, which are useful for its further development in the future application. During the study, the author also found that some electronic materials had been useful to stimulate the uses of automation learning system. From the study, the author hopes that the study will help to improve learning efficiency and saving energy.

Abstract: The ribs have been used to raise the area of convection heat transfer and consume little material simultaneously. This article adopt the analyze method of exergy transfer, with the help of gained temperature distribution in the constant-section straight ribs, derived the equation of the exergy distribution and the coefficient of exergy transfer distribution, with pay more attention to the rules of the energy quality decaying during the process of heat transfer in ribs. The solving results have been acquired in the Aluminium ribs and steel ribs with the case of same geometric parameter and same temperature parameter. The results show that the temperature, exergy value and the coefficient of exergy transfer is descending along the length direction of ribs. The parameter of Aluminium ribs is greater than the steel ribs because of the different property.
