Abstract: The article deals with the methods of forming liquid rocket engines parts, in which sheet material is used as a blank. The analysis of the existing methods of processing workpieces with a variable surface profile allows us to conclude that the mechanical method is the most promising type of processing for hole perforation. The drilling holes technology in parts made of sheet blanks is presented. The features of processing non-rigid parts with unpredictable surface fluctuations are considered. The ways of ensuring the stability of the treatment process, increasing the technological indicators, which allowed expanding the area of dimensional machining, are shown. The results of the work contribute to improving the manufacturability of new generations products of equipment, which is important for mechanical engineering.

Abstract: The article shows the relevance and scientific significance in the use of a combined processing method that combines the cutting process and surface plastic deformation, which provides an increase in the efficiency of processing of the basic flat end surfaces of electrical parts made of copper, the study of the patterns of microrelief formation during mechanical processing and plastic deformation of a copper surface. It was found that the use of a combined tool allows you to combine several transitions, which provides an increase in processing productivity by reducing the machine and auxiliary processing time. Replacing the grinding operation of the existing technological process with diamond burnishing can significantly improve the quality of the processed surface.

Abstract: The article considers the issues of assuring the quality of the surfaces of machine parts by applying a preliminary local thermal impact before their edge cutting machining. In the zone of application of local thermal impact, a zone of metastable structure with respect to the material of the workpiece to be treated occurs. When the cutting plane intersects with the local thermal application line, the formed flow chip is segmented. The created graphs allow assigning of local thermal modes to the surface of the workpiece before edge cutting machining. Application of preliminary local thermal impact will assure the specified quality of the surface of the treated workpiece at semi-finishing and finishing edge cutting machining modes and stable segmentation of the flow chip.

Abstract: The internal combustion engine is the most expensive component of a car, which determines the reliability and efficiency of its use. Studies show that one of the most common reasons for the failure of KAMAZ diesel engines during operation is the underutilization of the crankshaft resource due to wear of parts and couplings that limit its resource. An increase in the resource of crankshafts can be achieved by improving the technological processes of restoration and repair. Full utilization of the resource of KAMAZ nitrided crankshafts is possible by surfacing worn journals only after removing a nitrided layer up to 0.4 mm thick from the journals surface using specialized equipment for electrical discharge machining. Electrical discharge machining is based on the removal of material particles from the surface by an electric discharge pulse between electrodes immersed in a liquid dielectric, in the channel of which a high-temperature plasma is formed.

Abstract: The description of the basic material for the printboards production is given, its basic physical properties are formulated, the features of machining are shown and the range of problems that arise in this case is determined. We specified common mistakes that could lead to mass marriage in the manufacture of printboard assemblies. The structure and composition of base materials for the production of clad dielectric materials are described in this paper. An equation for calculating the maximum shear stress for a composite material is given. It is shown that nesting and, as a consequence, an increased content of glass fibers through a chain of interrelated factors affects the quality and reliability of the printboard operation and the entire product as a whole. In addition, the dense laying of fibers increases the cutting tool wear significantly. The article provides the technique of the base material choice depending on the distribution structure of glassfiber filaments on which the labor productivity, the quality, the cutter power and the manufacturing cost of the printboards depends.

Abstract: The polycarbonate (PC) screw cap part had cracking problem during storage, which mechanism needed to be studied. The effect of mechanical processing on the intrinsic stress and its distribution in PC screw cap part was investigated in the paper. The analytical results indicated that the round pieces cut from polycarbonate bar had certain intrinsic stress residue from processing course, which decreased obviously after de-stress heat treatment. Mechanical processing also led to obviously increased intrinsic stress in screw cap part, which could be decreased obviously by another de-stress heat treatment. But the heat treatment increased the aging degree and cracking probability for polycarbonate screw cap part, and was not suggested to carry out on screw cap. Based on the experimental results, some suggestions were also given to lower the intrinsic stress in screw cap.
