Abstract: In the work the problem of designing of mechatronic discrete systems have been studied for new possibilities of utilization of negative vibration isolation elements. Systems have cascade form and contains the piezo stack actuator and an external electric network connected to the mechanical discrete part. The main focus of the paper is given to the parameters related with negative damping, comparison of usage them based on dynamical flexibilities functions and study on constrains and limitations coming from potential practical application point of view. The new approach is related with placing the issue of negative value damping elements inside the synthesis process. Elements that can exhibits negative value, have been identified and found after distribution of dynamical characteristics, during creation of the mechanical displacement model.

Abstract: In the paper, the problem of designing of mechatronic discrete systems for vibration control has been investigated and generalized. As the design method, the synthesis has been used. Main focus of the paper is given to formalization of the mechatronic structures that contains elements with negative values on different stages of the synthesis process. The study is done based on different distributions methods of dynamical characteristics, dimensionless transformation and retransformation algorithm, simultaneously with verification of possible configurations of connections of piezostack actuators with external electric networks. As the result, various classifications of mechatronic discrete systems and general design constrains have been presented and discussed.

Abstract: In this paper we propose an Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) system for industrial drives. The system allows the user to optimize the design of control strategies by emulating complex mechanical applications. In fact, with this approach it is possible to simulate the behavior of the real mechanical system, and therefore to verify a priori the effectiveness of a control strategy and to achieve a rapid prototyping of the mechatronic system. The structure of the system consists of a couple of brushless motor which are connected by a mechanical joint. In one drive the control functions related to a specific application are implemented while the other one is used to replicate the mechanical system model of the application. A modular approach has been selected in order to allow a rapid development of a given application. In particular, a library of components has been implemented both in Simulink and in an IEC61131-3 language.

Abstract: The conducted research describes the design of production lines with pneumatic, partly pneumatic, electrical and other types of control implementation and analyses two control system cases. The first one of emergency breaking and design of an additional control system for emergency regulation of the production line is based on a direct regulation principle. The second case of the factory comprises a number of wood briquette automated production lines and is based on the application of control networks for industrial process control and alarming. The paper discusses advantages and disadvantages of control approaches.
