Abstract: Melt-blown generated PBT nonwoven fabrics usually have small fibril diameter, high flexibility, well heat and oil resistance. Therefore, they would have promising application such as vehicle filtering media. The rheological behavior of PBT with High Melt Flow Index for Melt-blown is investigated in this paper. It is a direction of the technology design and fabrication parameters .The relation of apparent viscosity and shear rate is analyzed, as well as flow activation energy and Non-Newtonian indexes. The results suggest that PBT with High Melt Flow Index is Non-Newtonian fluid. Apparent viscosity and flow activation energy show gradually decrease with increasing shear rate, exhibiting typical shear-thinning behavior.

Abstract: Polyactic fibers have superior biodegradability, moisture absorption, resiliency and processibility and can be used in various fields especially in blood filtration. Polyactic can be melt blown into nonwoven fabrics. To predict the fiber diameter of the polyactic melt blown nonwoven fabric, the air drawing model of polyactic was established. The predicted fiber diameter tallies well with the measured fiber diameter. Computer simulations of the effects of the processing parameters on the fiber diameter were performed with the help of the air drawing model. The simulation results show that smaller polymer flow rate, larger initial air velocity and larger die-to-collector distance can all produce finer fibers while too large initial air velocity and too large die-to-collector distance contribute little to the air drawing of polyactic melts.

Abstract: The paper expounds the special properties of the nanomaterials, introduces the properties of the melt blown nonwovens and the advantages of nanomaterials and melt blown nonwovens composites, summarizes the methods of incorporating the nanoparticles into the melt blown webs at home and aboard and the advantages, disadvantages of different methods, finally, introduces the new method we taking in the study and the result of our study. The results show that activated carbon is good distributed on the meltblown nonwoven and activated carbon particles embedded within the fiber.
