Abstract: In this paper, a fluorescent probe based on a rhodamine spirolactam ring was designed and synthesized. Rhodamine derivatives not only have excellent chemical and optical-physical properties, but also the "OFF-ON" characteristic of the rhodamine spiroamide ring allows specific recognition and response to metal ions. In this paper, Rh-DCP, a rhodamine B derivative with a spirolactam ring, was synthesized by the Schiff base reaction and the effects of pH, time and temperature on this probe were tested.

Abstract: Owing to the efficient predetermination, specific recognition and wide applicability, metal ion imprinting technology, apply to the wastewater treatment. The principles, synthesis strategies of ion imprinting and typical heavy metal ion imprinted polymers (IIPs) are introduced in the review. Finally, it is pointed out that the futures research problems to be solved and the development direction of metal ion imprinting technology.

Abstract: Resin D301 was surface-carbonized to obtain the surface charring materials (CD301). Using redox initiating system constituted by the amino groups of CD301 particles and persulfate in the solution, the poly (sodium styrene sulfonate) (PSSS) was grafted onto the surface of CD301, obtaining the grafted material PSSS-g-CD301, and the degree of grafting can reach 17.7% under suitable conditions. PSSS-g-CD301 was characterized by infrared spectrum (FTIR), and the degree of grafting was measured by gravimetric method. The adsorption character of PSSS-g-CD301 towards Al3+, Fe3+ and Cu2+ were mainly examined and investigated. PSSS-g-CD301 possesses strong adsorption ability towards Al3+, Fe3+and Cu2+. The adsorption capacity can get up to 13.285mg·g-1, 14.864mg·g-1, and 15.10mg·g-1, respectively. The data of isothermal adsorption matched well with Langmuir equation. The adsorption capacity increased with the increase of temperature and the value of pH. The adsorption capacity of PSSS-g-CD301 towards Fe3+ changed little after use them six times.

Abstract: Desulfurization of thiophene from model gasoline was carried out by using large charge number metal (Bi, Sb, Zr and Ru) ion modified NH4Y-zeolite by batch method. The sulfur uptake increased in the order of HY (0.85 mg/g) < BiY-1 (1.06 mg/g) < SbY-1(1.24 mg/g) < ZrY-1 (1.25 mg/g) < RuY-1 (1.35 mg/g). Sulfur uptake was influenced by Ru contentof RuY, which increased in the order of RuY-0.25 (1.11mg/g) < RuY-1 (1.41mg/g) < RuY-0.5 (1.68 mg/g). Sulfur removal was influenced by aromatics of model gasoline, i.e., sulfur removal of RuY-0.5 (42%) showed higher selectivity for thiophene than CeY-1 (24%) ones when model gasoline with toluene.

Abstract: The recognition and sensing of biologically and environmentally important species has emerged as a significant goal in the field of chemical sensors in recent years1. Fluorogenic methods in conjunction with suitable probes are preferable approaches for the measurement of these analytes because fluorimetry is rapidly performed, is nondestructive, is highly sensitive, is suitable for high-throughput screening applications2,3. We synthesized rhodamine derivatives compounds by a Schiff base reaction.

Abstract: The saponification conditions for bentonite/sodium lignosulfonate graft acrylamide and maleic anhydride adsorbent composites (BLPAMA) prepared by solution polymerization were studied in detail. The results had shown that the optimum conditions of saponification were that the concentration of NaOH (CNaOH) = 1.0mol/L, the temperature (T) = 90°C and the saponification time (t) = 1.5h. And the maximum adsorption quantity of saponified BLPAMA to Pb2+ was 1.304mmol/g in the Pb2+/Cu2+ binary metal solution.

Abstract: The interactions between M and nH2O (M= Li+,Mg2+,Ca2+,and Al3+,n=1-8)had been investigated by using density-functional theory(DFT) calculation. We also discuss the interaction between ionic polymer-metal composite with different number of H2O and H2 (M:nH2O:2nH2). The results show that the hydrone could be greatly polarized, increasing the polarization of H2O and making the hydrogen storage properties become stronger. Our result is consistent with the experiment in that Mg2+ adsorbs three hydrones from the benzene ring which composes a stable structure, and the hydrogen storage capacity is up to 10 wt%.

Abstract: Zeolite from coal fly ash is hydrothermal synthesis by microwave-assisted, and it is used to process wastewater. Through the XRD analysis, we discovered that many kinds of zeolites were synthesized in the experiment. The influence factor of zeolite sythesis is chemical composition, activator, temperature, time, etc. This kind of zeolite is used in processing wastewater, removed some positive ions from wastewater, like NH4+,Cu2+,Fe2+,Mn2+,and so on. Meanwhile some PO43+ and CODCr were removed. The main principle of zeolite processing wastewater is cation exchanging. There are physical-chemistry adsorption and the chemical precipitation in this process.

Abstract: A low-cost adsorbent was prepared simply by phosphorylating bagasse. The materials were characterized by Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR). Batch adsorption studies were carried out for Cu (II) ions adsorption at different initial concentrations. The pseudo-first-order, pseudo-second-order and the intra-particle diffusion models were used to analyze the kinetic data. The results revealed that the pseudo-second-order model generated the best agreement with the experiment data with the correlation coefficients greater than 0.999 for the adsorption systems. The mechanism of the Cu (II) ions adsorption by the phosphorylated bagasse was also discussed. The FT-IR results showed that the bagasse adsorbent has many different functional groups and these functional groups are able to react with Cu (II) ions in aqueous solution.
