Abstract: The possibilities of the impedance method for the determination of microcomponents (microelements) in liquid media are considered. The method involves measuring the frequency characteristics of the active and reactive components of the impedance of a sample of liquid media in the range of measuring frequencies from 0.5 to 100 kHz and there by determines the trace elements in the medium. A variant of building a microprocessor impedance analyzer with improved characteristics for instrumentation support of the method under study is considered. Analyzed the features of the proposed analyzer.

Abstract: When processing in the manufacture for production of paperboard boxes, there arises amount of waste paper as material, which is subsequently sent for recycling. The paper passes through the first crushing device, which ensures small pieces so that they can be transported by pipeline to a pressing apparatus. Paper material in the molding machine is forced into the pits of suitable size due to the additional handling and transport. So both pipe as well as the molding machine may be so congested with material during the failure that the equipment requires unexpected additional cleaning. The sensor detects the level of waste material in pressing device, thereby avoiding congestion in a timely manner and prevents subsequent failure. The sensor uses the resonant frequency of the oscillating rod. The microprocessor controls and evaluates the response of the rod oscillations. Sensor performance was exposed to qualification tests when it shows ability to operate also in extreme conditions such as dirty and dusty surrounding with high humidity and temperature level. Sensor detects the vibration attenuation at the poles of the rod that is caused by touching different materials. Thus may indicate changing concentration level of a material and not just pieces of paper but for example, also sand or other suitable materials or height of fluid surface.

Abstract: This work presents a hardware implementation of a simple microprocessor; then uses this microprocessor to design a PI controller for PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) drives. In this paper, firstly, the mathematical model of PMSM drives is illustrated. Secondly, the architecture of a simple microprocessor based on RTL (Register Transfer Level) method is proposed and the VHDL (Very high speed IC Hardware Description Language) is adopted to describe the behavior of the simple microprocessor. Thirdly, a machine code of PI controller based on the proposed simple microprocessor is designed. Finally, a co-simulation by Simulink/ModelSim is applied and verified the performance of the microprocessor-based PI controller.

Abstract: In this paper the SEE (single event effects) of different parts of device were explored on a 32-bit microprocessor with a five-stage instruction pipeline by laser test and heavy ion test. The cross section curves for different function units were obtained and the comparison of the dates obtained from laser test and heavy ion tests was made. In addition, laser test under different scanning steps were made which indicate that when the scanning step length is in small steps which is considerably equivalent to the laser spot size, there is little change in the number of single event errors caused by each laser pulse. Wherever with the scanning step increasing, the number of single event errors caused by each laser pulse will be reduced. Experiment results suggest that there are differences between laser test and the heavy ion test but have a similar trend. The pulsed laser is an extremely powerful and low-cost technique for SEE testing and will provide invaluable information in characterizing SEE in integrate circuits.

Abstract: This paper introduces a kind of measuring system based on two-dimensional position sensitive detector PSD and single-chip signal processing, and have discussed the key technology. Two-dimensional position sensitive detector (2 D-PSD) is a kind of testing device of light spot position information and the output signal is a kind of current signal related to the location information. PSD output signal processing circuits are usually made by the I/V conversion circuit ,the addition, the subtraction and division arithmetic circuit. System can quickly, accurately and easily realize the position measurement, with a simple implementation, low power consumption, fast response, etc, It can be applied to many remote laser center positioning measurement and general industrial control occasions.

Abstract: Due to the problem that test signals is difficult to describe and analyze in the microprocessor (CPU) and digital signal processor (DSP) circuit, this paper come up with a matrix base method to describe program signal and instruction signal, thus in theory solve the above problem. In the proposed method, simple hardware circuits can be used to produce different test signal needed in the test and diagnose of CPU circuit.

Abstract: Todays digitized world is shaped by various electronic devices. Quite everyone takes it for granted to live with all the helpers, comfort functions and all-day electronics. But like every other product, electronic components have to go through a development process, where as one of the very first stages some kind of hardware selection process takes place. Engineers have to decide which components to use so that the final product can be properly used. Especially when using processor controlled devices, the selection affects the whole product, since the processor must be suitable for the requirements by means of calculation power and peripheral support as well as future development through updates. Moreover, it also contributes to the products costs and time to market. Because there are thousands of devices on the market, engineers face a huge problem when having to make the correct decision. Therefore, the paper introduces a software tool called UBCS, the Universal Benchmark and Compare System, intended to support engineers when selecting appropriate processors for their device. It describes the structure and functionality of UBCS and gives hints to the reader how it makes the selection process more substantiated, easier and faster.
