Abstract: Magnetic properties of Co, Ni and Zn substituted barium hexaferrite (BaM) samples prepared by solid state ceramic method were studied. Saturation magnetisation were found higher for Zn-substituted BaM, whereas, coercivity is higher for Co2+ and Ni2+ ion substituted samples. Anisotropy field for all substituted samples was calculated by the law of approaching saturation. Remanence, squareness and thermomagnetic plot suggest Zn2+ ions restricts the magnetic interaction of various sites in BaM.

Abstract: Through the odd factor grinding experiment of microwave ferrite, the tangential and normal force were measured in different grinding parameters (wheel speed, feed rate, cutting depth, wheel size). According to the variation of the tangential force and normal force in different grinding parameters after grinding, the reasonable grinding parameters of microwave ferrite were explored. The results demonstrated that the grinding force had different variations in different grinding parameters. These could be the reference and guidance for the future processing of microwave ferrite materials.

Abstract: Through the odd factor grinding experiment of microwave ferrite, the residual flexural strength and surface roughness after grinding were measured in different grinding parameters(wheel speed, feed rate, cutting depth, wheel size). The surface of microwave ferrites was observed in high magnification through an optical microscope after grinding, in order to show the variation of surface roughness in different grinding parameters. The results showed that with the increase of the surface roughness, the residual flexural strength increased.

Abstract: Yttrium Iron Garnet (YIG) has been used as an important material in the Circulator/Isolator which is used in RF communication system, mobile phone, and satellite broadcasting, etc. In this study, we investigated the variation of electromagnetic properties of YIG ferrites for Isolator/Circulator application with Zr addition. The YIG ferrites, Y2.1Ca0.9Fe4.4-xV0.5In0.05Al0.05ZrxO12 with x=0, 0.05, 0.1 and 0.2, were prepared by the conventional ceramic sintering process. The Zr-substituted YIG ferrite, Y2.1Ca0.9Fe4.4-xV0.5In0.05Al0.05ZrxO12, showed the highest saturation magnetization (1097 gauss) at x=0.1. Good microwave properties were shown as isolation of 18.60 dB and insertion loss of 0.45 dB at x=0.2. In addition, the ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) linewidth decreased as Zr content increased
