Abstract: Study of Virtual Test Bed theory is the prerequisite for further research and application. Contributions to its technology and implementation come from many directions and from many projects. The purposes and significance of Virtual Test Bed are described. The goals are analyzed. The conceptual architecture with generic relationships as the primary rack of Virtual Test Bed is build based on the hierarchical relationship between the concepts in simulation field, and the framework is proposed which lays the foundation for simulation system development based on Virtual Test Bed.

Abstract: Requirement analyses based on use case apply to the requirement description of information system. This paper discusses the requirement analysis and modeling of automobile stamping parts management information system based on use case. Starting from analyzing its business flow diagram, the system activity (actor) and its candidate requirements reflecting from its feature checklist are recognized. The system functional requirements and non functional requirements are captured in the form of the use case, then the requirement model of automobile stamping parts management information system is established..

Abstract: The simulated PM-spectrum fractal sea surfaces and the 3-D near-field distributed model of horn antenna are built, the near-field formulas of KA method are deduced. The near-field scattering coefficient and the Doppler echo signal of rough sea surfaces are calculated, the agreement with measured data proved the correctness and validity of the near-field scattering model.

Abstract: Spatial indexing cam is widely used in some automation machineries, and usually can be classified into the following three types: (1) cylindrical indexing cam; (2) parallel indexing cam; (3) globular indexing cam. These cams have their own use range, and also are different in index number and application accuracy. In this paper, cylindrical indexing cam is mainly analyzed.

Abstract: Web ontology language, which is discussed usually by people, is abbreviated as OWL. Actually, it specifically refers to the computer Web ontology language, namely a type of computer machine language. OWL is one of the very important components composing semantic Web technology. It is an ontology language that is recently offered by W3C especially for Web language, and its ontology working group makes a description to OWL through a series of documents. OWL is applicable to the description and modeling on the semantic aspects of complex data, and it can establish a flexible semantic model when a lot of complicated structures and rich semantic data are often derived in the development process of software system. All software engineering data systems are managed in modes. OWL, as an ontology language, has been widely valued in the IT industry. However, the development of OWL has been seriously restricted because it is difficult to understand.

Abstract: This paper presents the modelling, design and testing of a short-stroke linear actuator to be embedded in a battery-powered positioning device. The particularity of this small (1 cm3) electromagnetic actuator is that it has to provide a constant force along its nominal stroke (1 mm), required by the specifications. In order to achieve this goal, an analytical and two Finite-Element-Method-based models have been developed. A genetic algorithm that takes the force profile into account is used to maximise the nominal thrust force of the actuator. The prototype shows a force profile that has less than 4% of deviation over the stroke and a nominal thrust force of 1.35 N.

Abstract: The substation process level networks modeling based on OPNET provides the solution for the quantitative assessment of process level networks. To meet the demand in substation automation system application, it analyzes the modeling requirements of entity equipment, IEC 61850 standard and optimization strategies. From the prospective of OPNET operating system, model library and user-defined modeling methods it researches the adaptation of OPNET and process level networks modeling, and it analyzes the substation process level network modeling based on OPNET with the demonstrations of SV/GOOSE, merging unit and protection IED, VALN modeling, providing the solution for the quantitative assessment of process level networks. Finally it proposes the modeling and simulation platform for quantitative assessment of process level networks in substation basing on an 110kV substation. This paper provides an effective tool for the quantitative assessment of process level networks and substation automation system.

Abstract: Replace lost teeth by artificial prosthetic has been a preoccupation since the dawn of human time. The aim of our work is to study mechanical behavior of the interaction distance between two dental implants, in order to serve as support for a crown, a bridge element or an attachment of the prosthesis. Our purpose is to make a comparative study of five models that is different only by the interaction distance between 0.5 mm and 2 mm spacing two implants, to clarify the mechanical behavior of this interaction distance. The used materials are the biomaterials which are intended to be in contact with biological systems. Modeling of dental implant and the various components is done using Solidworks. We studied the static mechanical behavior of the implant using numerical methods.

Abstract: The present paper aims to model straight rods having regular polygonal cross sections, analyzing in particular triangular cross sections (isosceles and equilateral triangles) as well as rectangular cross sections subjected to torsion. Stress and strain states for such cross sections under torsion were determined and plotted as 3D and contour plots using Mathcad. Keywords: torsion, polygonal cross section, modeling.
