Abstract: The modified pomelo peel powder was prepared by using chemical modification methods of ZnCl2 soaking and heating. The removal rate of Pb (II) ion in simulation of wastewater by the modified pomelo peel powder was tested. The effects of pH of wastewater, initial concentrations of Pb (II) ion, adsorbent dosage, temperature and time on adsorption of Pb (II) ion was studied. Results show that when Pb (II) ion initial concentration at 100 mgL-1, pH of wastewater at 3.5-5.5, adsorption time at 100min, adsorbent dosage at 15gL-1, temperature at 35°C, the removal rate of Pb (II) ion in simulation of wastewater by the modified pomelo peel powder was more than 95%.

Abstract: The modified corncobs was prepared by using citric acid. Conditions of preparation, the effects of pH, initial concentrations of Cr (VI) and adsorption time to adsorption of Cr (VI) was studied. Results show that when citric acid concentration at 3molL-1, heating treatment temperature at 160°C, the treatment time at 2h, the modified corncobs had a high adsorption of Cr (VI). At room temperature, Cr (VI) initial concentration at 10 mgL-1, medium aqueous solution pH at 2.5, adsorption time at 150min, the absorption rate of modified corncobs for Cr (VI) was 96.13%, higher than absorption rate of ordinary corncobs for 22.83%.

Abstract: Due to the hazard bringing to human, Bisphenol A pollution problem has drawn more and more attention in water treatment field. This study has developed a kind of modified zeolite as absorbent to remove it. Natural zeolite and chitosan were adopted in experiments. Results indicated that the modified zeolite bore more pore volumn and specific area than natural zeolite. To modified zeolite, natural zeolite and chitosan the adsorption of bisphenol was finished in 6-8h. Modified zeolite showed relatively excellent adsoptive capicity in batch and column experiments. The Freundlich isotherm was suitable in describing the sorption behaviour. Organic matters in water might be an important factor to debase the adsorption. To practice application velocity of 4.2-6.1 m·h-1 was suitable and the form of several column connected in serious was recommended.

Abstract: Base on the case of many water source water be polluted at present, the water eutrophication more and more serious tendency, many water sources was polluted seriously. We need to find a method of highly effective, the low-priced to processing water source water .Process the water source water by the zeolite especially the modified zeolite is the particular one method. In order to find out the best method of decontamination ammonia nitrogen from the tiny polluted water, adoption different temperature to heat; different density of HCl, different density of NaOH to modify zeolite. The result is that the best method is soaking in 0.1mol/L HCl 12h; the best quantity is adding 250mg modified zeolite to 250mL sample water.

Abstract: Six groups of polyacrylate binders are prepared with emulsion polymerization technique. D4 and ethenylsiloxane as modified monomers. Methyl acrylate (MA), butyl acrylate (BA) and styrene (St) are employed as basic polymerizing monomers; acrylic acid (AA) as catalyzer; glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) as reactive monomers; VTMS as coupling agent;sodium dodecylsulfate (SDS), composite fatty alcohol ether polyethylene oxide (composite AEO) as emulsifier and ammonium persulfate (APS) as initiator. The time and dosage of D4/initiator and dosage of coupling agent are changed for their effects on the reaction conversion rate and gel rate. Then, comparison with normal PA and green PA in the adhesivity, staining resistance, yellowing resistance, water tolerance and pliability of binders are carried. The studies show that the green silicone polyacrylate binder have the better comprehensive properties with D4 5% (on mass of monomers ) and ethenylsiloxane 1% (on mass of D4).

Abstract: An experiment on seepage and purification by modified mixtures of power plant fly ash and soil at different mass ratios was studied for developing a novel high efficient substrate of constructed wetland. The results showed that the soil’s osmotic coefficient can be improved by mixing fly ash and soil. The different mass mixing ratios of ash and soil had little effects on the removal of total nitrogen in wastewater, comparatively they had positive effects on the removal of total phosphorus and ammonia nitrogen. The phosphorus’s removal efficiencies were maintained at 81.94%~89.68%. The average removal efficiency of ammonia nitrogen was 85%, and the 4:6 level obtained the best removal efficiency, which was 93.41%. The different mass mixing ratios of ash and soil had obvious effects on COD removal of wastewater. The 1:9 and 0:10 levels gained higher removal efficiencies than others, whose removal efficiencies were 95.16% and 95.39%, respectively.

Abstract: Among the processes for production of olefins, methanol converted to light olefins with methyl iodide as intermediate is a potential and an alternative route, which can be realized under mild condition. ZSM-5 catalyst is considered to be an effective catalyst for methanol to light olefins, better performances for olefins can be obtained by modifying. In this paper, the methanol to olefin with iodide reaction (IMTO) has been studied in a small scale fixed bed reactor over Fe modified ZSM-5 catalyst. It is indicated that ZSM-5 zeolites were modified with Fe loadings successfully, as a result the pore sizes reduced availably comparing with ZSM-5, the conversion of methanol and selectivity of light olefins got 98.8% and 89.5% respectively when modified with 9% Fe loadings.

Abstract: A novel method is proposed to modify montmorillonite with coupling agents and Hexadecyl triphenyl phosphonium bromide surfactants made by our group (named P-surfactant in the following). The structure of organophilic montmorillonite (OMMT) was investigated by FT-IR, XRD and TG. The FT-IR shows the coupling agents were inserted between the layers of MMT and reacted with –OH of MMT. The results of X-ray diffraction shows that the coupling agents were all intercalated into the layers of MMT. The interlayer spacing of montmorillonite increases to 4.00 nm, the effect of modification is well. The results of TG showed the thermal stability was better.

Abstract: A modified electrode was prepared by the electrodeposition of a lead oxide layer on a titanium substrate. Characterize the electrochemical performance of electrode by adopting CHI860D electrochemistry workstation while evaluating the electro-catalytic performance of electrode with Methylene Blue (MB for short) solution as target degradation product. The results show that the interlayer proportion of SnCl4:SbCl3 is 6:1 when the thermal decomposition temperature is 550°C, the electrode material prepared in plating solution with a concentration of 0.15mol/L has excellent electrocatalytic performance against MB, and the degradation rate could reach above 98%.

Abstract: Diatomite was modified by microwave treatment to increase their utilization value, using modified diatomite to treat ammonia-nitrogen wastewater. The experiment indicated that adsorption process of modification of the modified time by microwaves and microwave power is the impact of ammonia adsorption of the main factors. Through modification experiments by raising the capacity of diatomite adsorption ammonia nitrogen, adsorption of ammonia nitrogen increase over one time. Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms were used to fit and the experimental results show that the modified diatomite adsorption onto ammonia nitrogen accords with Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm. The maximum theoretical adsorption capacities are 5.81083mg/g.
