Abstract: On the basis of automatic test system of the status in domestic and foreign, by analysis of the various functions and performance of the integrated test system, a design of the integrated test system is proposed, FPGA as the core logic controller of the hardware circuit. The system of the hardware design include: digital signal source output modules, analog output module and PCM codec module. Design of hardware circuit are mainly described. In addition, a detailed analysis of some key technologies in the design process was given. Overall, its data exchange with host computer is through the PCI card, data link and bandwidth can be expanded in accordance with the actual needs. The entire system designed in the modular principle, which has a strong scalability.

Abstract: Modular design is a standardized approach to organically combine standardization and diversification and to effectively integrate multi-type and small volume-production with efficiency, which is a new technology that has been applied universally. Its basic methods contain the four aspects of identifying the destination domain of modular product, etc. In China, there are about hundreds of intelligent building intercom system manufacturers and products. However, how to make the product internal structure design standardized and modularized and realize the compatibility of different manufacturers’ products is a problem necessary to be resolved in this industry. This paper conducts modular design concerning about intelligent building intercom system products, and combines the green design thought with modular design method, which can simultaneously fulfill the product’s functional and environmental properties, exerting highly significant roles in the R & D, increasing the production efficiency, reducing cost and improving enterprise management. From a long term, system modular design is the development trend of intelligent buildings.

Abstract: The multi-level converter is one of the focuses in the current high-voltage high-power field of power conversion, and is found widely application in high power drive system. It generated so far for nearly three decades of history. During this period a large number of multi-level topology appeared, there are three most commonly used, which are diode clamped, capacitor and cascaded H-bridge. In this paper, the development of the multi-level converter is reviewed. The structure of three multi-level converter topologies are given, and then their advantages and disadvantages are given by analyzing and comparing their characteristics. Finally, a new modular multi-level converter (MMC) is introduced which is one of research focus of multi-level converter field at present. Its structure and working principle are described in detail. Multi-level converters will continue to be developed to meet the demand of high-voltage and high power applications.

Abstract: The paper is to design a system that helps to select cutting parameters in standardization data and modular approach. The approach is based on industrial engineering methods defined by modular. The result is the parameters that take into account all the existing restrictive factors. First, a reasonable process to select cutting parameters is proposed. And then, the corresponding tools are designed. To achieve the standardization of the resources and process of cutting parameter selection, the resource contents and query actions are made in a uniform form. Finally, the selection of cutting parameters is realized within a management framework. It provides a scientific basis for selecting cutting parameters in actual production.

Abstract: In this paper, we design the open numerical control system of PC based on embedded motion control card. This open NC teaching machine tool is not only for the removal to meet the teaching requirements of the mechanical design, but also allows users to define instructions, to convert CNC instructions to the control card built-in function on the PC; to export the control information to control machine tool axis movement. This greatly enhances the students’ interest, and helps them to faster formation of the core competencies of the CNC technology.

Abstract: In this study, Moso bamboo (Phyllostachys pubescens) was used as the main raw material to design and manufacture a prefabricated modular bamboo house which could meet modern residential requirements. Bamboo was designed as building components after main physical-mechanical properties were tested and analyzed. After assembling bamboo together into construction components such as trusses and walls by using special connectors and clamps to combine and reinforce bamboo culms, strength of the prefabricated parts were tested. At last a modular bamboo house was built up. The results showed that use round bamboo for modern building is feasible.

Abstract: Variant design is the main form of most manufacturing enterprises. In this paper, an extensible modular method is proposed to enable better and faster design. The structure module is set size inner-related, and then when the user requirements change, the key structural variables can be adjusted followed by the alterations of the driven sizes, also these alterations can be verified by the engineering analysis. Therefore, the product variant design process can be preceded effectively with the extensible modules.

Abstract: This paper designed and developed an integrated testing system for performance parameters of the Hydraulic excavator. Combined with sensing technology, computer technology and virtual instrument technology this system can detect six key parameters of the excavator including motor speed, hydraulic system pressure, attachment action time, swing speed, walking speed, current characteristics, so as to evaluate the performance of the excavator. The testing system takes full consideration of the interaction between the tester and driver, meanwhile, can automatically detect all parameters by using the parallel test method in order to make sure the whole test completed in one hour. As the testing system is designed base on the idea of modularization, it can add new modules to meet the functional requirements alone with the development of research in the future. This testing system can not only improve the test efficiency, but also be used as analysis tools for the research and optimization of performance parameters of excavators.

Abstract: In this paper, modular design of multiple-axis motion controller for CNC using field programmable gate array (FPGA) technology is studied. The complete control system is implemented by dividing system functions into reconfigurable modules, which have been designed and implemented respectively. The timing simulations have been made to validate the feasibility for the modules. As a result, an incorporated experiment was made to check the entire performance of the controller.
