Abstract: Polymer electrolyte membranes of cellulose acetate-LiClO4 were prepared from the cellulose acetate with various ratios of lithium perchlorate in tetrahydrofuran (THF) as solvent. The properties of polymer electrolyte membranes with various ratios of lithium perchlorate were studied by Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The obtained TGA curves showed that these membranes were degraded thermally in three steps, which were attributed to dehydration, the main thermal degradation of the cellulose acetate chains, and the carbonization of the product to form ash. The thermal stability of the membrane decreased with the increase in LiClO4 content. The initial temperatures of the main degradation process decreased gradually from 330 °C in pure cellulose acetate membrane to 258 °C in cellulose acetate membrane containing 25% lithium perchlorate. The morphology of the membranes transformed from dense to the more porous membrane along with the increase in lithium perchlorate ratios on membranes.

Abstract: Recently, with the developing of new techniques, more new techniques has been used in the area of soil heavy metals monitoring. This paper reviewed the methods utilized in determination of total mass and morphology analysis of soil heavy metals, summarized the current research progress on soil heavy metals and pointed out the weak points of recent works. The article also forecasted the developing tendency of the methods of determination of total mass and morphology analysis of soil heavy metals.

Abstract: Surface analysis of the aluminum thin plates plastically deformed under constrained cyclic deformation was performed by Fourier, morphology and fractal techniques. The plates are used for estimation of deformation damage and fracture in places with a priori known homogeneous and heterogeneous strain distribution. Advantages and disadvantages of Fourier, morphology and fractal techniques for characterization of the intersections and projections are discussed in the context of its applicability to investigation of plastic deformation and fracture (persistent strain planes and directions, strain localization angles and places, etc.).
