Abstract: In this paper, the basic information about multi-agent systems is given. The authors propose robot control algorithms for managing virtual autonomous warehouses, where the task performed by the robots is transportation between specific locations in the warehouse and a number of distribution points. Algorithms control the work of a single robot, including the cooperation with other robots in the environment as well as collisions avoidance. Different routing algorithms are evaluated through simulations focusing on service time and waiting time of executing tasks. The impact of the proposed algorithms on energy consumption was also checked, since this is important for the working time between battery charges.

Abstract: In this paper, we discuss consensus problems for a network of dynamic agents with fixed topologies. A consensus algorithm for multi-agent systems with time-varying delay is presented. With the consideration of the effects of network conditions, such as network-induced delays, packet dropouts, mis-sequence, etc., a communication buffer is introduced for avoiding agents’ communication error, and a method for choosing buffer length is proposed. Using this buffer design, received data is rearranged and transferred in the original order. With the presented consensus algorithm, agents’ consensus is well-performance, and all the agents match the average speed finally. Simulation oriented results verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

Abstract: This paper presents some considerations on the posibility of using of multi-agent systems MAS in building SCADA systems. It also describes the laboratory test bench developed by us for the testing of the SCADA-MAS compound. It is shown the reflection in the literature of the SCADA-MAS subject to the extent that it exists and the main concepts underlying the two important technologies, one of which is of technical and engineering origin, and the other is related to artificial intelligence. We evaluates the prejudgement concerning incompatibility or the disimilarity of the two technologies having divergent characteristics. We propose research directions suitable for multi-agent systems to assist in solving industrial SCADA networks.

Abstract: This article presents the model of the e-manufacturing environment as the multi-agent system. The e-manufacturing system is a joint, multi-dimensional base gathering all required information and providing fast access to data and various analyses needed for a manufacturing control system in a real time. All operations executed at the level of a manufacturing system are related to the appropriate level of a management system, thus it allows synchronizing actions at these areas. Fluent combination of operations realized at various levels of a company system allows to manufacture products of highest quality/reliability with maximum utilization of production resources and maximum adaptation of products basing on actions and decisions made pursuant to actual information from production plant. Applying the multi-agent systems for enterprise manufacturing control system enables automation of many processes which previously required human intervention, such as the inspection and control processes. Creating the environment which enables direct access to all the data coming from the production system and utilization them in a real time leads to a more correct analysis of processes taking place on all levels of the enterprise manufacturing system. Applying the multi-agent technologies significantly accelerates the information flow inside the virtual enterprise.

Abstract: The main application area of multiagents systems, demonstrated in this article is the modular robot, a type of robotic system that is composed of many autonomous modules. The paper shows theoretical and design approaches to the solution of metamorphic service robots. It gives selected specific questions and problems connected with its design and construction. While various decentralized algorithms have been developed in the field of modular robotics, most approaches lack theoretical treatment; furthermore, most are specialized for particular tasks and dificult to generalize to other modular robot tasks or configurations. Theoretical understanding allows us to identify the scope of this approach and to further generalize it to a broader application area. [1]

Abstract: This paper proposes a novel finite-time consensus tracking protocol for guaranteeing first-order multi-agent systems with a virtual leader to achieve the fast finite-time consensus tracking. The Lyapunov function method, algebra graph theory, homogeneity with dilation and some other techniques are employed to prove that first-order multi-agent systems with a virtual leader applying the proposed protocol can reach the finite-time consensus tracking. Furthermore, theoretical analysis and numerical simulations show that compared with the traditional finite-time consensus tracking protocols, the proposed protocol can accelerate the convergence speed of achieving the finite-time consensus tracking.

Abstract: A new fitness function is introduced in order to maximize the number of task served by the multi-agent system (MAS) with limited resource, while the tasks information remains unknown until the system found them one by one. The new fitness function not only considers to maximize the profit of the system which can be seen as to maximize the remaining resource of the system in the case of the MAS with limited resource, but also takes the balance of remaining resource in to account and it can makes a compromise between them. This paper uses an improved discrete particle swarm optimization to optimize the coalition of MAS. In order to improve the performance of the algorithm we redefine the particle velocity and position update formula. The simulation results show the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed fitness function and optimization algorithm.
