Abstract: This paper employed the theories of multibody system dynamics to analyze the multi-rigid-body model of erection system and build the general dynamic models in absolute coordinates. The impact theory of contact mechanics and nonlinear spring-damper force function were used to model the impact problems between rods of multi-stage hydraulic cylinder of erection system and educe the dynamic models of multi-rigid-body erection system with impact. An automatic violation correction method according to the step of integration time was given to solve the violation which is an incident problem in numerical integration of dynamic models in absolute coordinates. Simulation results show that these dynamic models are effective.

Abstract: Success of rescue process is determined by reliability and safety of rescue device. Virtual prototype technology is introduced into the dynamics simulation and optimization for the design of an operating mechanism for loading deep submergence rescue vehicle, and the 3D CAD software, multibody system dynamics analysis software were combined. Taking into account wave excitation input at sea state 5 and 8 as the extreme marine working conditions, the virtual prototyping model of the operating mechanism is built by ADAMS. The whole topology relations of the vehicle are defined. Dynamics characteristics of key parts are analyzed in various virtual environments, which is quite difficult to be realized by physical tank test. Optimization strategy is proposed and verified by increasing the number of horizontal wheels and adding gap between horizontal wheels and the track. This method offers a new way to study the innovative design of similar marine special mechanism.

Abstract: In this paper, as for the calculation of loads in main bearings in a crankshaft system, multibody system dynamics is used to simulate the dynamic characteristics of the system composed of flexible and rigid bodies, coupled with hydrodynamic lubrication analysis further. The multibody system model with flexible crankshaft of one V8 diesel engine is built in ADAMS software, in which the bearings are modeled as rigid constrained bearings and hydrodynamic bearings respectively. The resulted loads in main bearings using different models are compared. The results show that the deformation of crankshafts has great effect on the values of loads in main bearings, and the bearing loads in different directions tend to uniformity due to the hydrodynamic lubrication.
