Abstract: For simplifying the cockamamie measurement process, in this paper, special equipment for measuring non-cylinder pinhole of piston is designed and implemented. First of all, the measuring principle, the hardware structure and the software system are illustrated. In addition, the measurement error is analyzed in detail. Finally, it is proved that the precision of the instrument is as high as that of the foreign advanced instrument.

Abstract: 10G Ethernet technology has been widely used in modern high speed communication system. As a result, program design for high-speed data capture on 10G Ethernet, as the first and important step in network monitor and analysis system, has become a challenging task. This paper proposed a high-speed data capture method based on WinCap and shared memory pool technology and has features of high speed, low packet loss rate, high efficiency and good portability. The system test and data analysis proved that the proposed method in this paper can effectively capture the data at speed of 6Gbps and stably keep the packet loss rate under 0.03%.

Abstract: Serial communication has been widely used in varies fields, and its application in the measuring system for the keel-line of ships is discussed in this paper. The main function of the measuring system is to fulfill the orientation introducing, thus to realize the unification of coordinates. Serial communication is applied in the measuring system to achieve real-time data communication between self-collimation theodolite, electronic gradienter, center computer and computer of measuring system. The component of a communication system, the function, the system protocol and the program design are introduced in this paper. It is proved that the communication system, which fulfills real-time as well as accurate and reliable data communication, has already been applied in measuring system of ships keel-line.

Abstract: With the UHV (Ultra High Voltage) power grid construction and the interconnection of regional power grids, the scale of power grids in China is increasing rapidly. At the same time, significant uncertainty and variability is being introduced into power grid operation with the integration of large-scale renewable energy in power systems. All of these pose an enormous challenge to the operation control of power systems in China. For a long time, online static security analysis, as an important part of EMS (Energy Management System), has been an effective tool for power grid operation. However, it is increasingly difficult for traditional static security analysis in serial computing mode to be online applied in bulk power grids in China. A new practical parallel approach for online static security analysis is put forward in this paper. A multithread parallelism is introduced into contingency screening, detailed contingency evaluation and decision support for reducing the execution time. By employing the multithread technology, the hardware resources of multi-processor/multi-core computer can be fully used and the program can be speeded up effectively. The performance of the parallel static security analysis is demonstrated by tests on two large-scale power systems. The test results show that the proposed method can be online applied in real bulk power grids.

Abstract: The web data collection is the process of collecting the semi-structured, large-scale and redundant data which include web content, web structure and web usage in the web by the crawler and it is often used for the information extraction, information retrieval, search engine and web data mining. In this paper, the web data collection principle is introduced and some related topics are discussed such as page download, coding problem, updated strategy, static and dynamic page. The multithread technology is described and multithread mode for the web data collection is proposed. The web data collection with multithread can get better resource utilization, better average response time and better performance.

Abstract: The guide assembly procedure of the engine cylinder, design a software system for real-time monitoring to improve the engine performance. Used pressure sensor and AD acquisition card for acquisition and processing the pressure and displacement data; the software system for controlling and detecting ,which adopts mechanisms of multi-thread provided by Linux OS and programming techniques of Qt, is established on the computer, make the detection oriented press mounting; Completed the functional by modular design approach, the pressure and displacement data displayed as a curve and stored the diagnostic analysis results in database. Practice shows, the software system was proved to be stable working, easily operated, enhance efficiency greatly and guarantee the assembly quality.

Abstract: Quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) is widely used in communication systems. The traditional QAM demodulation method was implemented in hardware. This paper proposes a demodulation algorithm using GPU. The GPU algorithm is easier to add new features than hardware implementation and reaches 57x speed up compared with the serial algorithm on CPU. It is shown that the QAM demodulation algorithm gained significant performance increase due to the natural parallism of the GPU, using Compute Unified Device Architecture (CUDA).

Abstract: A Micro WEDM (Micro Wire Electrical Discharge Machining) CNC system is presented in this paper. Its hardware platform adopted PC with movement control card. For Micro WEDM system is a typical multitasking and real-time system, the CNC software adopted multithread and module structure to perform the parallel tasks and real-time tasks. It also adopted fuzzy control algorithm to control the feeding speed and acceleration. Practical proved that the CNC system is not only low cost and easy to development, but also satisfied the need of Micro WEDM.
