Abstract: With the development of computer and Internet technology, enterprises need scientific and effective management of the available information resources to make full use of them. Traditionally, paper is used as the medium. However, information on paper is hard to edit, store, and check. Moreover, this way has a higher requirement for employees. This study adopts B/S architecture to build an information management system, which contains complete NC machine tools as well as components. The system uses a framework as the development platform, and uses SQL Server 2005 as the database. This application can fit most browsers.

Abstract: CNC machine tools tend to build their coordinate systems according to the categories of returning reference points. Due to their detecting structures and principles, four distinct styles of reference point returning come into being, that is, Reference Point Establishment based on Incremental Encoder and Mechanical Block, Datum-point style Returning Reference point, Reference Point Returning with Incremental Encoder and no Mechanical Block, Percussion Reference Point Returning based on Absolute Encoder. In this paper, the author tries to probe into the basic requirement, working process and design requirement of the four styles.

Abstract: A reliability modeling method is proposed based on the time between failures of NC machine tools. According to the field data of the time between failures of a certain type of NC machine tools, parameter estimation of reliability model is made by use of particle swarm optimization (PSO)-based correlation coefficient optimization method, and it is proved that time between failure of CNC machine tool obeyed mathematical model of 3-parameter Weibull distribution via hypothesis testing. This provides the basis for reliability assessment of NC machine tool as well as the development of maintenance strategy in the future. Meanwhile, it also provides a theoretical reference for the reliability prediction of the whole NC machine tool.

Abstract: This paper addresses the problem of preventive maintenance optimization for NC machine tool. Firstly, the NC machine tool is divided into four subsystems according to the function module. The failure probability density function of each subsystem is estimated with the fault information records. Then, the optimal preventive maintenance period is estimated for each subsystem considering the availability. The optimal periods of all the subsystems are used to derive the preventive maintenance strategy of the whole machine. Finally, a numerical case is presented and the result shows the performance of the proposed approach.Keywords: NC machine tool, subsystem, availability, preventive maintenance

Abstract: In order to solve dispersed resources of enterprise and diversity of manufacture, put forward the methods to realize manufacturing information using cloud technology. The key technologies of cloud computing and cloud manufacturing are discussed for small or middle manufacturing enterprise and studying technology characteristic, application pattern and realizing method for cloud manufacturing service platform. Fault diagnosis, performance evaluation and maintenance are shown on cloud manufacturing platform so that obtain data of equipment's state on line. Thus, improve equipment utilization and reduce shutting down time and maintenance cost.

Abstract: In order to overcome the problem that the maintenance date for NC machine parts was lacking, this paper proposed a maintainability prediction method based on comparing with basic unit. The biggest difference from traditional methods was that the traditional methods analyzed parts, but in this method, failure modes were analyzed and interval number was used to express expert opinions. The maintenance action for each failure mode was decomposed into several basic maintenance tasks. Comparatively speaking, the method had more adequate data and higher accuracy. Finally, the method was illustrated with an example. The analysis results showed that the method was feasible for the maintainability prediction of NC machine tools. It could solve the existing principal problems and provide a new idea for predicting maintenance in the field of NC machine tools.

Abstract: In view of the existing problems of indirect position closed-loop control, a digitized closed-loop control method is presented and a new kind of position control system with fully digitized closed-loop based on that method is developed. In this way, the fully digitized control of cutter trajectory is implemented with the features of digitized driving, digitized measuring and digitized position control, so that the machining accuracy of the NC machine tools is effectively assured. This system has been used on varieties of NC machine tools and very good results have been obtained in the machining of complex precision parts.

Abstract: In order to satisfy the magnetic rheological polishing process, we established a measurement and control system based on SIEMENS 840D numerical control system. The structure of the system are introduced in detail, i.e. the four component modules, the seven component units establishing the hardware platform, and the three component parts establishing the electric control system design. The measurement and control system presented in this paper provides guidance for the relevant products.
