Abstract: This paper analyzes the performance indicators multiservice telecommunication networks based on the future network architectural concept using end-to-end digital technologies. Based on the study, a new approach to constructing a mathematical model of the efficiency of an SDN network is proposed. Based on the model, analytical expressions were obtained to evaluate the performance switches and controllers of the software defined networking network using the OpenFlow protocols.

Abstract: GPSR routing protocol is incapable of controlling the energy consumption of single node, causing network monitoring loophole. In the current study, a new routing algorithm NEWGPSR was developed from by original GPSR protocol with the introduction of LEACH clustering thought and the improvement of its head selection algorithm, appending active excitation mode, the heuristic rules and local optimization strategy, improving surrounding forward mode. Results of simulation analysis using NS3 platform showed that the new NEWGPSR algorithm was capable of effectively reducing system energy consumption, prolonging the network life cycle, and improving the performance of the entire network.

Abstract: In order to ensure the system behavior of vehicle CAN network and its ECU nodes meet the requirements of high fault tolerance in complex communication conditions. The CAN networks bit-level interference test method in data link layer based on FPGA was studied. Monitored bit stream and embedded interference by behavior level description through Verilog HDL based on FPGA. Simultaneously, host computer configuration interface which is based on Visual C++ was developed. Using the design of this paper interfered the CAN network evidenced the design can implement interference effectively and flexibly to CAN, reliable stability and high fault tolerance of CAN network can be verified.

Abstract: By using active method of injecting test flow data into the network the parameters of throughput, bandwidth, delay jitter, packet loss can be gained, UDP network performance of the single network segment can be tested. According to the measurement results, the network should be properly distributed for the access connection number and allocation of bandwidth for each client to improve the network performance.

Abstract: This paper analyzes the characteristics of current monitoring wireless sensor networks for coal mine safety and two kinds of typical system network architecture of mining working face in coal mine firstly, and then analyzes the network performance of the two kinds of network system theoretically. In order to compare the performance of WSN adopting linear topology and hybrid topology, we build the simulation model using NS2 to evaluate the performance through three indexes, i.e. total energy consumption, packet loss rate and average transmission latency. The research results show that the network adopting hybrid topology has better energy efficiency, and the network adopting linear topology has better performance in packet loss rate and average transmission latency.

Abstract: Traditional network management takes network equipment as main management objects, while the network services may failed even if the network devices work well. As a matter of fact, users concern more about the operating states of network services. Considering from users’ perception, this paper proposes a service-oriented network performance management model constructed by the Fuzzy Delphi Analytical Hierarchy Process (FDAHP), which focus on mapping service performance parameters into network performance parameters that can help us deeply understand root faults in communication networks. Simulations and experiments are carried out to prove the validity& correctness of our method.

Abstract: Implementing smart grid demands a wide area communication network for connecting all the feeder equipments, consumers’ meters and high-consuming appliances, etc, for both utilities’ and consumers’ applications. Using power line itself as a communication medium is an ideal solution for construction of a cost-effective and high speed transmission network. A new flooding-based routing protocol has been developed. The PLC (Power Line Communication) network performances of this protocol are evaluated using theoretical analysis.

Abstract: Short-message communication mechanism is one of the most frequently methods used on the field of satellite data transmission. Under the existing satellite network, we provide an expansion method of reliable data transmission of short message communication named EMRDT-SMC, which solves negative compression problem of transmission capacity expansion when the amount of short message is below normal, and also solves reliable data transmission problem while satellite microwave transmission causes short message loss. Based on the measurement over a small test-bed, it shows that the method EMRDT-SMC can obtain the better network performance.

Abstract: Information theory has made great impact on the research of communication systems. However, analyze and design of networks has not benefited too much from information theory. Therefore, in this paper, we propose the information-theoretical framework of context aware network to explore the relationship between the information and the network performance. We also analyze the information traffic process in context aware network. To illustrate our approach, we analyze the architecture of context aware network by the information entropy produced in the network, and discuss the way to improve the performance of context aware in an information-theoretic perspective. The results in this paper may be also used to design other network and guide the future network design.
