Abstract: With the improvement of requirements for vehicle comfort, people put forward higher requirements on the noise control of automotive air conditioning. As the power source of the automobile air conditioner, the compressor is also the main noise sources, so it is the major objective of vibration damping and noise reduction. In this paper, with analyzing the noise mechanism of compressor, introduces four identification methods of automotive air conditioning compressor noise source, providing theoretical basis for automobile air conditioning damping and noise reduction.

Abstract: Based on sound intensity and acoustic array methods, noise source identification of an engine is measured at idle condition. The main noise source of intake surface and exhaust surface are determined, also their frequency spectrum analysis. This two kinds of method testing results fundamentally agreed very well, and verify acoustic array method is more simple and easier than sound intensity method.

Abstract: Noise source identification is the precondition and foundation of the noise reduction. There are some limitations while using some common method to analyze noise sources, so on the basis of partial coherence analysis and analytic hierarchy process, a method was proposed which can sort noise source contribution. When noise in the multi-source excitation system is coherent,this method can identify and sort noise source.

Abstract: In this paper the mechanisms of the bottom radiant noise generation of a given mini vehicle was investigated and the corresponding countermeasures were put forward in reducing the noise of a diesel engine. According to the analysis of acoustic signals and vibration signals measurement, an investigation of the noise source identification in a given vehicle was presented. With the sound intensity method, the major sources of the bottom radiation noise of the engine under three operating conditions were surveyed. The research provides the reliable basis for the engineering practice to reduce vehicle noise level.

Abstract: In this paper, the noise of the rotor system is classified at first, and then the sound intensity experiment of the rotor system is conducted based on “two-microphone” method. Then the sound intensity contour maps were obtained from the measurement results. An investigation towards the relationship between the characteristics of contour maps and distributions of the rotor system on space was taken; the main noise sources of the engine were identified. The result provides guidelines for taking measures to reduce noise.

Abstract: In this paper, we analysed the level of radiation noise and distribution of noise sources of car’s engine and front panels by using sound intensity method. To get the nephogram of sound intensity and sound power spectrum, we used the sound intensity probe and Multi-channel Data Acquisition Regulation System B&K 3560-D and Pulse Data Processing Analysis Software. By analysing experimental results, we can conclude the location of noise sources of these parts. The measurement results will serve as a reference for the car noise reduction.
