Abstract: The physical friction system model was established between the tool and the chip based on the analysis of tri-bological behavior of high speed milling process of the end mill. The finite element simulation method was employed to study the tool-chip friction model, and the two-dimensional(2D) finite element model of milling was created. The numerical results revealed the chip morphology, stress and temperature distribution of the tool-chip contact surface. The tool temperature field distribution provided supports for tool-chip friction state theory and the 3D milling model.

Abstract: With the use of computational fluid mechanics software – FLUENT, the numerical simulation computation of combustion process inside a certain 200MW corner tangential firing boiler whose combustor is transformed by the multi-grade efficient low-nitrogen combustion technology was conducted, thus the furnace temperature, velocity, mixture and NOx concentration field at rated conditions before and after the transformation were obtained. The calculation results were highly identical with the industrial test results. The results show that after using the multi-grade efficient low-nitrogen combustion technology, the NOx emissions significantly lowered down with the drop of about 40% compared with the emissions before transformation, while the furnace coking and high temperature corrosion were effectively controlled, achieving good economic and social benefits and providing a reference to the design and transformation of the same types of boilers.

Abstract: Establish the mathematical model of feeding velocity in Rubber Roller Husker vibrating feeder through analyzing the material movement, and determine the relational expression according to the theory analysis of material movement in the feeder. Analyzing the influence of groove obliquity angle , vibrating direction angle, frequencyand amplitude, which are simulated numerically by using the MATLAB software, and optimizing the material theoretical speed are the main objective. The optimal parameters of transmission and the experimental verification can provide more reference for the design of the Rubber Roller Husker vibrating feeding system.

Abstract: In the paper, according to the definition of the effective length and criterion of the effective length of the single pile, using the numerical method to simulate the foundation of drilling hole perfusion of single pile under vertical load pile settlement and deformation of pile body, based on the way of combining the ultimate bearing capacity and settlement control of pile top, the pile efficiency coefficient of the effective pile length is determined in certain conditions, and also the effective length of single pile. Then, the more reasonable theoretical basis is provided for engineering design and construction.

The structure is reasonable and more stable with the diagonal bracing and the beam. Analysis and research in this paper can provide reference for the design of this structure.

Abstract: In Guangdong MeiHe highway K28 + 360 ~ + 360 section of the steep slope embankment as the research object, by adopting the combination of measurement and numerical analysis methods, analyze the failure process and mode of steep slope embankment. Based on the analyses, The following conclusions were obtained: the sliding surface of fill embankments on slope foundations of K28+360~+860 section was the original surface of the slope. Constructions of the highway would block the groundwater discharge and reduce the strength of the original surface of the slope, which would cause the slide of the fill embankments on slope foundations.

Abstract: In this paper, multi-core photonic crystal fiber couplers are characterized and numerically simulated with Mangan et als theory and beam propagation method. We propose a kind of 1×3 multi-core photonic crystal fiber couplers with broadband characteristics and the identical split ratio within the range from 1300nm to 1800nm. If the proper length of the couplers is chosen, light couple intensity is completely the same by periphery there-core fiber with broadband characteristics. It provides a theoretical basis for the practice of multi-core photonic crystal fiber couplers.

Abstract: The method of retaining piles working as an anti-floating piles has advantages of lesser environmental impact, high utilization of resources and good in economic benefits, but the method effecting on underground structure was worthy of further study and exploitation. According to the practical underground projects, this paper has proposed three possible connections between underground structure, shear connectors and retaining piles. The analysis showed that the internal force and displacement of underground structural is affected distinctly by the method. In addition, characters and applicable ranges of the three different connections is introduced with the finite element analysis and calculation of stress and displacement of the main parts like base plate ,top plate ,and so on.

Abstract: This study aims at the array ultrasonic nozzle sprayed atomization flow field on flat plate, and uses different design and operating parameter combinations to analyze the distribution of spray flow field, the analytic results can be used to improve the flat plate coating performance of the array ultrasonic nozzle spraying equipment. The simulation analysis results will be compared and validated by practical spray coating experiment, so as to determine the reliability of simulation to implement the spray flow field simulation technique for large area uniform spray coating. The mean error value is less than 24%, proving that the simulation results have certain feasibility and accuracy.
