Abstract: There was an oil pipeline fracture found in the unlock process of Z well in western oilfield. The reason that made the oil tube fracturewassystematically studied usingmacroscopic analysis, physical and chemical property test, scanning electron microscope with an energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer and X-ray diffraction analysis. The results suggested that the requirement of relevant standard for C110 steel grade was satisfied with the chemical component and mechanical property of oil tube. The perforation of oil tube made H2S in the fluid medium enter the oil set of connected rings. In addition, the high-pressure gas left by gas contained certain H2S and O2 so that the tubewould fracture and be invalid under the combined action of sulfide stress corrosion and oxygen corrosion.

Abstract: As the oil field enters into later phase of oil exploitation, more and stricter requirements have been put forward on oil tubes in terms of anti-corrosion performance in the oil exploitation, therefore, in this paper, a new compound processing method will be introduced, which carries out ion-nitriding and the plasma chemistry vapor deposition (PCVD) for oil tube inner wall. Through function extending of equipment specific to ion-nitriding of oil tubes, PCVD could also be carried out at the same time. Through the above compound processing, not only can the high hardness and the high-wearing feature of ion-nitrided oil tube be retained, but also the anti-corrosion performance can be improved substantially.

Abstract: To study the corrosion behaviors on the rod and tube materials used in oil well is very important for prolonging oil well repairing periods, lowering oil production maintenance costs and increasing oil production efficiency. Through selecting some kinds of tube and rod materials which are always used in oilfield, chemical corrosion experiment and electrochemical corrosion experiment were carried out under different conditions. The results show that the corrosion rates are accelerated with material prestress increasing, liquid mineralization rate and temperature rising. The nitrified materials have better corrosive resistance than untreated materials. The electrochemical corrosion experiment results show that the electrode potentials of four materials (45, 20CrMo, J55, N80) have tiny difference and don’t exceed 20mV. The bimetallic corrosion tests show that the couple corrosion of the four selected materials pair can be ignored under short period and oxygen conditions.

Abstract: The development of oil&gas steel products in Baosteel in the past two decades is reviewed. After years of R&D works of steel products used in energy industry such as drilling, exploitation, collection, transportation, and storage of oil and gas, the alloy system and manufacturing processes of oil&gas steel products have been established in Baosteel. The oil&gas steel products of Baosteel consist of two major categories, i.e. the Oil Country Tubular Goods used in underground service, and the pipes used for pipeline construction on the ground. Currently, the product quality has been maintained stable, and the involved products have been extensively used in worldwide oil&gas exploration and transportation industry.
