Abstract: A new type of tachometer carbon brush wear detection technology is proposed based on data acquisition and signal processing technology, the key of which is that the tachometer carbon brush output information is acquired and processed, moreover, the real time conditions of the carbon brush wear are detected and analyzed based on the time domain Eigen value analysis method. During the data processing process, the results of the dimensional parameter processing method are compared with the results of the dimensionless parameter processing method at the same time. Then, we find that the detecting precision is greatly promoted and measurement probability is guaranteed by reasonable threshold selection. Experimental results indicate that the technology proposed here has high stability, high reliability, and high detecting probability, which has great practical value and deserves being extended widely.

Abstract: Based on the principle of thermal balance and materials balance in lime furnace, a calculation model used for on-line testing the resolution ratio of baked limestone in lime furnace is conducted by using of parameters that can be measured in spot. For a lime furnace in operating, the resolution ratio of baked limestone can be predicted on time by this model when mass input of limestone, coke ratio, air flux, concentration of carbon dioxide in outlet, temperature of flue in outlet and temperature of output lime are measured in-line. The calculation model has been testified with actual parameters and proved to be operable.

Abstract: At present, the common method of testing noise generated by vehicle transmission before delivery is to measure the noise sound pressure level by means of sound level meter. Since the measurement result is susceptible to background noise, the method can only be operated in anechoic chamber. In this paper, in order to measure sound pressure level directly on production-line, a new vibration measurement method and its relevant formula are presented. The proposed method can effectively avoid being affected by background noise and obtain the sound pressure level of transmission noise on production-line by testing the vibration acceleration signals of transmission box. It’s proved that the new method makes the delivery test of transmission noise more convenient and effective. Moreover, it can improve the delivery quality of transmission as well as the performance of whole vehicle.

Abstract: According to the current situation that most kind of automobile engine box were taken off-line random testing and the key technology of on-line detection, after the analysis of precision index and geometrical tolerances, the on-line testing model has been made by us. According to the model: ① double array CCD have been used to calibrate the positioning pin holes; ② image processing measurement method based on linear CCD has been determined; ③ automatic control method in which grating control scanning step distance has been adopted to improve the accuracy of image collection; ④ image edge extraction algorithm has been used to realize automatic fast testing. Experimental results show that: effective and rapid precise measurement can be achieved.

Abstract: Pressure-Volume-Temperature (P-V-T) properties of two amorphous polymers (ABS and PS) were measured by an on-line testing measurement in the temperature ranges from 20 to 150 °C and pressures from 20 to 120 MPa. The on-line testing measurement is based on an injection molding machine (IMM), and it can be used to get P-V-T data of polymers directly with a special testing mold under normal processing conditions. The experimental P-V-T results of amorphous polymers under industrial processing conditions were presented. A new modified two-domain Spencer-Gilmore equation of state (EOS) was developed. The P-V-T properties were correlated by the modified Spencer-Gilmore EOS and a modified two-domain Tait EOS, showing a good agreement with measurements. The effects of sample forms were investigated. A sample with large length diameter ratio is the best one to be measured.
