Abstract: In precision machining, we often detect the location of some round holes or other geometric parameters. Given the disadvantages of traditional method is contacted, artificial and time-consuming, this paper has proposed a image measurement method based on stereo vision. We use the method of digital image processing to perform the denoising, binarization, edge detection, and centralized location of the orifice image, and analyze the accuracy of the hole machining and arrangement. Experimental results show that the error of image measurement proposed is less than 0.14mm, which meets the general requirements of the hole measurement precision and is applicable to the online measurement that the accuracy requirement is not high and the task with large amount of object to detect.

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to develop an internet system for cognitive diagnosis assessment. The theoretical foundation of this cognitive diagnosis model is mixed scoring student-problem chart (S-P chart) which is beyond the limitation of traditional S-P chart. Therefore, one contribution of this study is to construct the cloud computing for analyzing measurement data. Another contribution is to extend the traditional S-P chart and accomplish an internet system. In addition to the theory and system, this paper also gives an empirical data to interpret utility of the internet system. The results show the feasibility of this internet system of cognitive diagnosis measurement. Based on the findings of this study, some suggestions and recommendations are discussed for future research.

Abstract: A method of online measurement system of stone slab based on Sobel operator improvement is proposed in the paper in order to improve accuracy and productivity of stone slab measurement. Through adding Sobel operator model, they are combined with mathematical morphology method to improve the accuracy of boundary extraction of irregular stone slab and by establishing camera calibration theory formula a relation between world coordinate and image coordinate is set up. The result show that the method can implement online measurement of stone slab and the accuracy of this system can satisfy requirements of stone production industry.

Abstract: The fiber sensor based on SPR, surface plasmon resonance, could effectively overcome the shortcomings of the existing measurement methods of oil in waste water, such as outdated detection ways, low measurement accuracy, poor adaptive ability environment, and so on, and it had extensive research and application value. On the basis of analyzing the principle of SPR, the fiber sensor based on SPR was designed and the system structure model was given. The solutions of oil and waste water with different concentrations were tested and the relation between resonant wavelength of SPR spectra and refractive index of the tested solutions were obtained. The experiment results show that it is feasible that the fiber testing technology is used to measure the oil in waste water, and the study has certain significance in sewage disposal for the petrochemical industry and water reuse.

Abstract: In this paper, research on measurement methods of hole during the parts online detection has been made. Both diameter and position of the hole are going to be detected in the same measurement system. In order to obtain higher accuracy and efficiency, a comparative analysis test of using the contact probes, the inductive sensor, the laser sensor, the forward and back lighting CCD imaging have been achieved. Results show that the contact measurement using inductive sensor is more suitable for the system, for the reason that it has higher reliability and efficiency.

Abstract: In this paper, the merit and disadvantage of existing measurement methods for battery internal resistance are firstly analyzed. Then an online internal resistance measurement based on AC impedance method is proposed, which can increase the stability of the excitation source and enhance the performance of the filtered feedback signal. The method can be used to measure the small resistance of lithium-ion battery precisely. Experimental results show that the proposed method is accurate.

Abstract: In high-tech processing even smallest concentrations of metal ions in process media are of the utmost significance because they cause expensive production failures. Currently, cost-intensive equipment, special trained staff and time consuming analyses are necessary to detect these contaminations in order to avoid failures. The Centers of Excellence Nanochem and Sensorics at the University of Applied Sciences Regensburg (owner of patent PCT/EP2010/064833) and their industrial partner Micro-Epsilon GmbH are developing a new miniaturized measurement device which allows cost-effective real-time analysis of fluidic media for the first time. The system is fully automated and can be directly connected to wet-etch benches. Hence it allows continuous real-time surveillance of metal contaminations in the ppb-range through absorption spectroscopy in process media. For this purpose a very small sample amount of the process medium and a specific complexing agent are mixed together. This leads to an increase in the molar extinction coefficients and though even smallest contaminations become visible. The main parts of our development are the simulation of the different system components, their production and chemical analyses with the evaluation model.

Abstract: Aiming at the difficulty of online measurement for three-dimensional deformation of large overhead crossbeam in gantry CNC machining centre, this paper proposes a measuring method based on multi-points attitude of crossbeam-body. Real-time measuring the attitudes of some equidistant points on crossbeam-body, dealing with the measurement information by adopt shockproof filtering, wavelet denoising and smoothing. Then infer the formulas to calculate deformation of each point along different directions of x-axis, y-axis, z-axis. The experiment uses triaxial acceleration sensor modules to measure crossbeam attitude. Experimental results show that the minimum deformational angle can be measured low to 0.06°. And if the spacing between sensor modules has mm level accuracy, the precision of calculation about deformation can reach up to 10-3mm level. In addition, this method is strongly suitable for on-site environment, and it can lay a foundation for further researching about prediction and compensation in the CNC processing.
