Abstract: Given the importance of enhance the performance of oil separators in production field, this research study the separation process through simulations based on a real field data, WQ-2 south of Iraq-Basra. By implementing both dynamic and steady-state approaches in Aspen HYSYS V.14, the optimization was carried out for each approach for comparison. Results from the steady-state simulation revealed limited improvement, with closely converging iterations and changes applied to only one variable at a time. In contrast, the dynamic simulation given more realistic and favorable results, as manual adjustments were applied in a real-time response to the actual field dynamics range and conditions. The result shows that the maximum OVFR=15050 m3/h and CO=0.1999099 at T= 60 °C and P= 15 barg for static model, while the OVFR=1580.9 m3/h, CO=0.0093 at P=14 barg, T=76 °C where the operation time 120 min for dynamic. Compared to the static approach, the dynamic approach was efficient to reach better performance when the selected parameters were optimized and that led to a substantial improvement in the separation efficiency. Therefore, the dynamic simulation could be considered a mandatory approach when the overall separator efficiency need to be enhanced.

Abstract: Hydraulic free-piston engines have potential advantages of cost and fuel efficiency. Due to no crankshaft system, it is difficult and important to control the piston motion and working frequency precisely. This paper studies on the motion characteristics for the hydraulic free-piston engine effects of operation parameters, and results are presented. The TDC (Top Dead Center) position and CR (Compression Ration) are great influenced by starting pressure and fuel injection timing, and working frequency is mainly influenced by piston mass, starting pressure and fuel quantity.

Abstract: Dry anaerobic co-digestion of animal manure and straw was conducted to produce biogas. Startup characteristics and biogas production perform of dry digestion were studied, and the effect of operation temperature and incubation amount on dry digestion was also investigated. The study result showed that under the conditions of C/N=25-30, TS=20% and T=(36±1)°C,dry digestion can start up quickly with acclimated thickening sludge as incubation sludge. Compared to dry digestion of chicken manure and pig manure, dry digestion of cow manure proceeded steadily with high biogas yield. It is found that incubation is necessary in the process of dry digestion and biogas yield increases with more incubation amount. The appreciate incubation ratio is about 10%. Temperature change has apparent effect on biogas production, and it is suggested that mesophilic temperature should be chosen in the scaled project of dry digestion.

Abstract: The float glass melting tank is huge and complex equipment which the operation parameters are difficult to control in production line. The install of desulfurizer makes the kiln more complex and unstable. In present work, we fulfill the field experiments and obtained the optimal practical operation parameters. The obtained parameters were: aperture of wings gate: 75-85%; aperture of draft fan: 30-35% for draft fan 1, and draft fan 2 were through-type; aperture of conveying fan: 70-85%; temperature of gas into desulfurizer: 180-200°C; the water flow were controlled by thermocouple and diaphragm control valve; Velocity of gas into desulfurizer: 8-10 m/s. Our results provide the guidance for installing the desulfurizer and modifying the whole system in practice.

Abstract: According to the situation that the N and P indexes in the MSBR process of municipal wastewater treatment plant can’t meet the I-A wastewater discharge standards of China, the optimized operation parameters were put forward, including improving the sludge within the reflux ratio, opening the return ratio, increasing SBR hypoxia anoxic mixing time, controlling of dissolved oxygen in the aerobic tank,and so on. Through industrial experimentation, the effects of enhanced bio-denitrification were also discussed. The experiment results show that the wastewater treatment plant with 7-tank process of MSBR will meet the I-A wastewater discharge standards of China of the N concentration in effluent through enhanced bio-denitrificaion, but it have bad impact on the TP removal, then through chemical dephosphorization in advanced treatment the effluent water quality will satisfy the I-A wastewater discharge standards of China entirely.

Abstract: In this paper, visualization detection technology of supercharged boiler’s combustion in furnace is been used to take photo of the flame in furnace, and calculate temperature images and radiant rate images corresponding to flame images, and get average temperature and average radiant rate value, and gain relationship between average temperature and average radiant rate value. Studies show that: according to image of flame in furnace taken in different working conditions, average temperature and average radiant rate value have the same change rule. Working condition of boiler is higher, fuel consumption and radiant temperature are higher, and average radiant rate is lower, and operation parameters such as fuel press, steam temperature and pressure difference of gas are higher, and vice versa.

Abstract: Introduced the theory of the Energy loss analysis and lots of Energy loss analysis methods and utilized the basic formula method to analysis the influence of some operation parameters of a foreign designed 300MW coal-fired power plant to coal consumption in the variety loads. Applied matlab to make a figure, which contained the influence of some operation parameters of a foreign designed 300MW coal-fired power plant to coal consumption in the variety loads. Compared analysis the results, and gained the energy saving direction, so it conducted the operation of these units and optimized it.
