Abstract: Universities are one of the fundamental actors to guarantee the dissemination of knowledge and the development of competences related to the Industry of the Future (IoF) or Industry 4.0. Computer Aided (CAX) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) technologies are key part in the IoF. With this aim, it was launch a project focused on Manufacturing and partially funded by La Fondation Dassault Systèmes. This communication presents a review on CAX-PLM training, four initiatives already in place in universities participating in the project, the project scope, the approach to integrate with the industrial context, the working method to consider different competence profiles and the development framework.

Abstract: With the rapid development of experience economy, manufacturing should provide products and services which can satisfy the users. The product design evaluation methods and the relationships with PLM were studied. The research actuality and deficiency of product user experience were analyzed. To solve the problems which product design evaluation cannot be implemented throughout the whole product life cycle and user experience cannot guide design evaluation, product development process was divided into four stages based on the product lifecycle management. The design evaluation requirements for every stage were researched, the evaluation contents were analyzed with user experience methods, and the evaluation targets and missions were summarized. So the model of PLM-oriented product design evaluation system based on user experience was established. It proposed the direction of future research, and wished to guide the development of PLM-oriented product design.

Abstract: Accurate material data shared in product lifecycle is the basis of manufacturing industry informationization. But material coding rule is usually different in enterprises. The code rule definition model based on code segment unit was proposed, and the segment unit was divided into four types as flow, selection, input and conversion according to code generating way. The concept of code segment structure tree was proposed to support the code method’s adaptability. The E-R model of adaptable coding system was described. The integration model of coding system, CAD, CAPP, PDM and ERP was put forward. Based on the model, generating code before design, generating code after design and generating code offline modes were proposed. Taking a specific material code rule in an enterprise as an example, the coding system’s application method was studied. The example shows that the proposed coding method is adaptable and effective.

Abstract: The construction domain is an important part of everybody's life consisting of one of the major needs in the Maslow's pyramid: safety. The now-a-days complex, spectacular designed constructions imply new technologies with high efficiency and precise equipment. The paper analyses the optimum solution for the desired product by using the PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) approach, starting by using previous primary and secondary information and pursuing with the solution determination. The conceptual solutions are obtained through creative methods from the specifications-the functions-of the improved product.Hence, having the proper solution that responds to the client's needs we can make the next step in designing the model of the improved formwork equipment.

Abstract: In the present context of the construction domain where everything needs to respond to the market requirements and time efficiency is an ongoing issue, the paper analyses the optimum solution for a sliding formwork. By using all the previous data obtained through PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) approach, we determined the particular solution. For this creative methods were used.As a future step, by having such solution we can design an intelligent equipment and make a step ahead in the formwork industry.

Abstract: The article is focused on new application of eco-design in the field of electronics. The concept of circular economy is a new trend in manufacturing technologies. It is not clear when an electronic product, being the last phase of lifecycle, will be defined as a waste. According with principles of circular economy there is no waste, only resources. The designer needs to design the electronic products taking in consideration the amount of resources which is the outcome of PLM. The Waste of Electronic and Electric Equipments (WEEE) is used as an input for another industrial process. Thus, the cycle is completed, nothing is lost and there is no pollution.

Abstract: To solve the problem of massive PLM product data analysis, a PLM product data analysis system based on OpenStack cloud platform was proposed. It includes a data analysis method of structured products based on data warehouse and a data analysis method of non-structured products based on Hadoop. By means of the former method, firstly product data was filtered, tranformed and loaded into the warehouse, then the required data cube was extracted, lastly the structured product data was analyzed with the analysis tools of data warehouse. By means of the latter method, the product data firstly was loaded into the distributed file system, and the non-structured massive PLM product data was analyzed by the data mining algorithm, which was programmed by JAVA language based on MapReduce. By applying the methods mentioned above to massive PLM product data analysis, it shows that these methods hava a higher efficiency.

Abstract: Aiming at the PLM component library system, this paper studied the characteristic and requirement of the development of the PLM component. The main goal of this research include: deploying PLM component library using open source project OpenStack and KVM; studying the component communication method under heterogeneous environments on the basis of distributing framework model Remote Method Invocation (RMI); designing PLM soft component’s facet and interface; putting forward the steps of developing the distributed PLM component based on EJB technology (include Session Bean, Entity Bean, Message Bean); issuing distributed PLM component that is packed into Web service in order to achieve the mapping between PLM soft component and Web service by using J2EE Web service component; developing a PLM component library management system based on SOA framework.

Abstract: Manufacturing is in transition to manufacturing service industry and Life Cycle Cost (LCC) becomes an important considerate index. Operation & Maintenance Expense (OME) is the most complicated one among all the LCC expense units. Besides, it also accounts for the largest proportion. Authors proposed a LCC modeling idea, which is Expenses attached to the process, while process consumes resourses. Authors take the air-supply and brake system of high-speed train as example, conduct the system’s maintenance FMEA and risk assessment based on dependability. According to assessment results, authors match the system’s important maintenance projects, including brake control system, main air compresser etc., with their respective maintenance mode. The paper put forward the expense model of one specific maintenance work on basis of its resourse structure. Based on the main air compresser’s dependability, authors predicted its Corrective Maintenance (CM) repair times by using Monte Carlo simulation. Combined with the repair times of Preventive Maintenance (PM) and condition-based maintenance, authors obtained high-speed train’s OME model. This method has important significance for modeling the high-speed train’s LCC. Besides, it may support the expense reseach for large equipments with complicated process.

Abstract: Failure, because of the important role in the product life cycle for improving product design and manufacturing, is becoming important data information and being taken seriously. High-speed trains are complex electromechanical integration systems, and its failure occurred in operation may directly relate to people's life and property safety. FRACAS is a reliability engineering method, which allows the product fault information to follow Discovering, Report, Analysis, Correct and Confirm closed-loop management process, provides data and information to support effectively for improving the reliability of the train. This paper analyzed the fault information management needs of high-speed trains, combines high-speed trains product structure tree and fault model base to generate a high-speed train fault information database, by customizing and developing Relex FRACAS software. Then high-speed trains (CRH3) closed-loop management system is established. High-speed train FRACAS can easily build enterprise information platform for product reliability. Through the establishment of a unified failures database and solutions knowledge base, standardized information transferring and sharing are achieved. The train products faults can be timely reported and corrected. The accumulated data of troubleshooting in the whole process can be used in the failure statistical analysis and reliability prediction, which can effectively avoid major failures and repeated failures.
