Abstract: This paper presents a practical methodology of energy audit applied to an industrial unit. The validity of the proposed recommendations has been tested on consumption during five years. Several simulations are presented in this document include the use of smart meters, reducing CO₂ emissions, reduction of peak hours, reactive power compensation, tariff simulation, verification of the PMA and PMD.

Abstract: With the quickly development of fiber communication, PMD(Polarization mode dispersion) has became one of the key factor which limit high-bit rate system performance. Abstract: In order to compensate the dispersion in 40Gb/s optical links, the optical dispersion compensation is discussed because of its high compensation speed and small nonlinear. An optical equalizer, in post compensation, is presented and the results based on simulations show that an equalizer consisting of chirped fiber grating can mitigate dispersion effectively by setting the incident power from 6 to 8dBm.

Abstract: We demonstrate a universal DSP application for adaptive polarization mode compensation (PMD) compensation utilizing GTPSO algorithm in optical transmission systems. An adaptive PMD compensation experiment is implemented in an 80G/s DQPSK system. We designed a low power-consume DSP-based integrated control system to complete first-order PMD and second-order PMD compensation. The searching process and the tracking process for automatic PMD compensation could be completed in less than 10ms and 1ms.
