Abstract: In this paper, an effective multicast stream scheduling mechanism in PON is proposed. The weights of buffered queues in the SCB port of OLT are calculated based on the multicast efficiency, aiming to achieve maximized effective multicast throughput. Simulation results confirm that the proposed mechanism can obtain better performance than previous method when system is heavy loaded.

In this article, we provide the basis for solving the broadband access problem through the comparative analysis on the advantages and disadvantages of those technologies.

Abstract: The simulation diagram of WDM-PON is proposed, utilizing DFB laser diodes as light sources, array waveguide grating as multiplexer for signals’ split and amplifiers as gain generator, respectively, to realize networking for both sending and receiving units. WDM-PON system with 128 branches service signals and transmission rate of 210Gb/s is finally simulated and the system performances are analyzed and discussed.

Abstract: Two main types of TWDM PON are distinguished by the locations of AWG and splitter. Three self-protection mechanisms i.e., dual fiber bridging pair (DFBP), single fiber bridging pair (SFBP), and single fiber bridging ring (SFBR) are designed based on bridging fiber and can be directly used on TDM part of optical distribution networks (ODN). After combined with the spectral periodicity property of AWG, the three schemes can be used in WDM part too. Each ONU can use monitoring and reporting mechanisms on optical signal to detect the fiber failure. DF then can get self-protection without any service interrupt and loss. The calculation results show the proposed schemes can keep high survivability and connection availability, while the cost, recovery time and power budget are acceptable.

Abstract: Communication Access Network of Electric Power System is the key of Communications Network for Smart Grid. There are kinds of access technologies of Telecommunications for Electric Power System. However there is not a unified software platform for electric power communication access devices based on these technologies. So it cannot be adapt to the rapid development of electric power communication equipment, communication test, flexible configuration, and also cannot be quickly adapt to changes in the electric power communication needs. This paper introduces Reconfigurable Switch Software Platform (RSSP) s design, analyzes the architecture of RSSP in detail. As an example, this paper also proposes an implementation scheme of OLT based on RSSP.

Abstract: Firstly, through deeply analyzing the security threats that exist in the PON, this paper proposes a technical idea which integrates high-efficiency subcarrier multiplexed quantum key distribution into PON-SDG communication system. Secondly, we conduct theoretical calculation for the configuration parameters of PON and verify the feasibility of the technology. Finally, the concrete implementation flow-diagram and the generation process of the session key are given .The research results can provide the theoretical reference for building the secure and efficient SDG.

Second this paper focuses on broadband access network technology application of optical fiber, finally puts forward the development of the optical fiber broadband access network might cover APON, BPON and EPON phase, from broadband pointto-point Ethernet fibre optic system and GEPON start and even finally GPON phase transition to the initial assumption.

Abstract: Rogue ONU is a critical failure in TDMA-PON because of the nature that more than one subscribers share upstream bandwidth. A reliable scheme is proposed to detect continuous long light emitting ONUs. And the judge time can be changed by setting the CLK. Compared with other solutions it is cheap and reliable.

Abstract: In the assay of serum PON arylesterase activity using phenyl acetate as a substrate, a number of other serum hydrolases can catalyze the substrate hydrolysis, and so bring high background activity signal. EDTA and 2-hydroxyquinoline (2-HQ) were PON inhibitors. Based on this property, background activity can be determined by adding EDTA or 2-HQ just prior to adding the substrate (phenyl acetate). The specific serum PON activity was obtained by subtracting the background activity from the total serum arylesterase activity. The correlation of the background signals based on different inhibitors and the correlation of the specific serum PON activity were investigated, respectively. The inhibition consistency was analyzed. The correlation analysis of PON activity-age was performed.
