Abstract: Coal ash as flame retardant was used to PVC, the mechanical properties and flame retardance of the samples were studied. The resultant data show that coal ash better effect on the mechanical properties of the sample, especially tensile strength, impact strength, and 4% of coal ash obtained good flame retardance. PVC treated with flame-retardants showed a high limiting oxygen index, high decomposition temperature, which indicated that the flame retardance of the treated PVC was improved.

Abstract: The paper takes the actual problems of target enterprises in PVC production as an example. The paper transforms residual-heat waste status in production and optimizes the key equipment, cooling water system of internal cooled of polymerization reactor, which not only reduces energy waster and reaction time of single reactor, but also improves production efficiency. So it saves energy for target enterprises and makes considerable economic benefit.

Abstract: The risk of di (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) migration from plasticized poly (vinyl chloride) (PVC) is an important issue for patients. We present a study on the effect of gamma radiation on the migration of DEHP from plasticized PVC into air and PVC as a function of time (0-28day) at 75°C.The samples were irradiated at dose of 25 kGy using a 60Co gamma radiation source. The change of weight loss at 75°C was studied as a function of time.Diffusion coefficient of samples was calculated,it was found that the diffusion coefficient significant increased after irradiation, the sample having ESO exhibited an decrease trend of DEHP migration, which shown that ESO can effectively impress the migration of DEHP from plasticized PVC either in control or irradiate samples, the same Phenomenon was found in air and PVC.The diffusion coefficient was between 8.37×10-11 and 2.68×10-10 cm2/s in air, 8.87×10-8 and 9.99×10-8 cm2/s in PVC.

Abstract: Gangue as flame retardant was used to PVC, the mechanical properties and flame retardance of the samples were studied. The resultant data show that gangue little effect on the mechanical properties of the sample, especially tensile strength, yield stress, and 10% of gangue obtained good flame retardance. PVC treated with flame-retardants showed a high limiting oxygen index, char yield, which indicated that the flame retardance of the treated PVC was improved.

Abstract: Thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer (TPU) and long glass fiber (LGF) were used to prepare LGF/TPU master batch for increasing the mechanical properties and heat resistance of PVC. It turned out that addition of LGF/TPU contributed to improvement in toughness of PVC but the heat resistance of PVC didn’t increase very evidently. The heat resistance and morphology were observed by vicat test and scanning electron microscopy, respectively. The scanning electron microscopy (SEM) proved that incorporation of LGF/TPU into PVC changed the morphology of the composites and correlated well with the mechanical properties. Dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) showed that both the glass transition temperature and the storage modulus of PVC increased with the addition of LGF/TPU master batch; the presence of a single Tg indicated that each component of composites was miscible. In this study, the combination properties of the composites with 24wt% LGF was the best proportion in the range of 0-30 phr LGF, because it had the best mechanical properties and heat resistance.

Abstract: The rapid growth of industry has resulted in increased severity of water scarcity in the Eastern region of Thailand over the past decade. The assessment of water use by industrial manufacturing processes located in areas experiencing water stress is necessary to ensure a sustainable water resources management. The objective of this study is to demonstrate the use of life cycle assessment as a tool for assessing water use in an industrial manufacturing process. A case study of S-PVC resin manufacturing process located in Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate, Rayong province, Thailand, is presented. The studying results indicate that the amount of water used to produce 1 Kg of S-PVC resin is 14.72 liters, of which 6.22 liters are withdrawn from local water resources. Additionally, the direct and indirect water use along the production supply chain is accounted for in a streamlined life cycle assessment.

Abstract: In view of the importance in the national industry of PVC,the subject of the PVC polymerization stirred tank uses finite element analysis software (ANSYS) of the thermodynamic analysis, mainly for the temperature field analysis.By observing the displacement vector image and temperature, the heat transfer capacity is enough, and the heat transfer component selection is reasonable.

Abstract: Double maleamic acid (DMA) was synthesized with maleic anhydride and ethylenediamine in this paper, and its lanthanide metal complex (LMC) was synthesized in aqueous solution with lanthanum chloride (LaCl).The reaction conditions and the product were determined by UV absorption spectrum, IR spectrum and element analysis. The results showed that the product is La (OH)[C10H10O6N2]·2H2O. And it is the structural formula of speculation. Congo red experiments show that the thermal stability of PVC product was improved significantly after blending with Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC) and LMC. The thermal stability time can be up to 20 minutes.

Abstract: Various electrospun epoxized natural rubber / poly (vinyl chloride) (ENR/PVC) blend nonwoven membranes were prepared by electrospinning technique. Various concentration of epoxidized natural rubber (ENR) solution in N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) were directly added to PVC solution for plasticization of the electrospun nanofibrous. Differencial thermal analysis (DTA), thermogravimetry analysis (TGA), fourier transfrom infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were used to characterize the pristine and plasticized nanofibrous. DTA results indicated that the addition of ENR resulted in the shifting of glass transition temperature (Tg) towards lower temperatures. The blending of PVC with ENR is thermodynamically incompatible.

Abstract: In this paper, four models of PVC composites reinforced with glass fabric were designed based on the arrangement of the V-structure, using V-structure discontinuous glass fabric as the sandwich structure and PVC resin as matrix. The acoustic insulation properties of the composites with V-structure discontinuous glass fabric as the sandwich structure were analyzed with a two-channel acoustic analyzer. The results show that the orientation of the V-structure has a strong effect on the acoustic insulation property. In the case where the raw material, thickness and density of the V-PVC composites are almost the same, the composite with the opening of the V-structure toward the source of sound shows better acoustic insulation than that with the opening of the V-structure away from the sound source. This difference is even more pronounced with increasing layers of glass fabric.
