Abstract: Through building dynamic foundation configuration database based on the parametric design models, an efficient optimization design principle suitable for independent foundation design is put forward combining with the existing building structure design codes. Using the object oriented language VB to develop independent foundation optimization design programs, to realize reading in internal force calculation data of the upper structure from SATWE software, then the program searches automatically for the optimal solutions .The optimal design of practical projects illustrates the feasibility of the proposed optimal design method.

Abstract: Reduction is a main part in the heavy transmission device, and the case of it is the bearing body. It may lose efficacy if the strength is not enough due to too much load on it. Thus, it is very important when its stiffness improved greatly but its weight increases slowly. The tradition method is very difficult to accomplish mechanics analysis because the case shape and force condition on it is very complex. The finite element method is employed here and parameterized model is built. The weakness part was found out according to the results. The parameterized model provides the basis for the optimization of reduction case.

Abstract: Aimed to the comfort demand of people for the high-end bicycle saddle, a parametric design method of customized saddle is presented based on the Cubic B-spline theory. According to the relationship between Cubic B-spline control points and the saddle shape, the outer contour control points is determined firstly, then all control point positions on the saddle surface are calculated by these outer contour control points, and the parameterized model of the customized saddle is built and its overall surface is designed. On this basis, a more reasonable saddle surface is obtained by adjusting the control points. Finite element analysis (FEA) is carried out on customized saddle and common bicycle saddle respectively. Their stress distributions comparison result shows that customized saddle can minimize pressure to the anterior perineum and ischial tuberosity effectively. These verify that the saddle customized design method is feasible.

Abstract: Visual field of the driver will impact directly on the active safety of the automobile. In this paper, the Chinese eye ellipse in 95th percentile was established based on the modified Chinese physical dimensions data and the equation which is used to position the ellipse with the AHP as the reference point was deduced, providing reference for the design and check work of the automobile visual field. Parameterized model which is used to calculate the blind area in the display zone of the dashboard is built, basing on the Chinese eye ellipse in 95th percentile and its position equation. When the design parameter is changed, the blind area will update synchronously according to the geometric relationship between each dimension, and this characteristic of the model is helpful to avoid redundant design, reduce designers' burden and save time.

Abstract: In this paper, CATIA was used to establish the parameterized model for gear driving system of reducer. The Assembly Design workbench was used to complete the virtual assembly and the DMU Kinematics module was adopted to simulate the movement of gear pair. Finally, finite element analysis was conducted by using Analysis &Simulation module to simulate the actual working condition of gear driving system, which verified the rationality of parametric model and the accuracy of calculation , at the same time, provided the reference data for failure analysis.

Abstract: This paper presents a mathematical model for multi-axle vehicles Inclusive of steering system, suspension system, tire model, body system. Considering possible factors related to turning motion such as vehicle configuration and suspension, equations of motion were constructed to predict steerability and stability of these vehicles. Turning radius, slip angle at the mass center, and each wheel velocity were obtained by numerically solving the equations. The simulation model is made by MATLAB based on the mathematic equation. To analyze the influence of the wheelbase layout on vehicle stability, driving performance and stability of the vehicle with three wheelbase layout is simulated based on the present model. It is concluded that the wheelbase between second axle and third axle should be long to get better stability when vehicle turning with rear axles.

Abstract: The process of creating a CAD model from an object is mainly made up of two steps: the data collection through digital measurement and the construction of parameterized and revisable model. This paper discusses the measuring process and technical problems of the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and non-contact sensor. Through comparative analysis, we determine the application scope of those approaches in measuring different dimensions of the same objects considering the time efficiency and tolerance requirement. This paper divide the objects into two categories: freeform feature objects and regular feature objects. As for the freeform feature objects, people could fit wrap-around B-spline surfaces to construct the model. Regular feature objects for mass produce contain machined surfaces which should be precisely measured and modeled. The model of regular feature object should be constructed by three-dimensional modeling software, so that it is parametric and revisable for changing and improving the original design. Sizes and position of important surfaces of the model are acquired from CMM, and those of non-important features are fitted though point cloud processing. Some profile can’t be measured directly from CMM but should be precise, so this paper proposed two methods to construct profile line and analyze error by comparing it with point cloud.

Abstract: The design and machining quality of mold core of luminaire reflector is the key to luminaire manufacturing. According to the structural characteristics of the mold core with axisymmetric uniform-distribution reflecting cells, the mathematical model with five-axis NC programming of this mold core was established. Based on five-axis CNC machine tools with dual rotary tables, then, the NC automatic programming calculation for this mold core was researched. Besides, a simple three-dimensional entity simulation was discussed. In this way, the three-dimensional entity simulation of automatic programming and processing in 5-axis NC machining of this mold core was realized.
