Abstract: This research is an invention of a non-linear sensor measurement process with a non-linear interpolation technique using a method with the Goen constant equation. This invention is not a linearization technique, so a comparison signal technique is not needed from the output of the non-linear sensor. Therefore, the advantage of this technique without a comparison signal is that it is more responsive. In addition, the costs incurred are cheaper because if the non-linear sensor uses a linearization technique, it will require additional electronic devices to support the use of the comparison signal technique. Two-way non-linear sensor measurements can be done simply using one-way measurement techniques using Ivan Newton Interpolation (INI). There are two non-linear sensor measurement process techniques. The first technique measures conditions outside the sensor that are non-linearly correlated to the sensor's characteristic values. The second technique measures sensor characteristic values non-linearly correlated to the condition values outside the sensor. This second technique can be done indirectly using the trial and error (TE) interpolation technique. The non-linear sensor measurement technique using INI will produce a two-way non-linear correlation between the conditions outside the sensor and the sensor characteristic values. This measurement technique will produce a non-linear correlation, so a comparison technique is unnecessary for the linearization process. The output response results from the non-linear sensor measurement process technique with INI can be more responsive when used as a control sensor. More responsive when compared to non-linear sensors using linearization techniques. This can happen because the linearization technique requires a slope comparison process using a comparison signal first.

Abstract: Arch is a structural member which provides aesthetic beauty to architectures and, at the same time, guarantees stability to structures. For this reason, it was largely adopted for masonry building in the past centuries. Nonetheless, the erection of new curved structures is poorly considered in modern time. One of the possible causes is the difficulty of constructing since it requires the use of temporary scaffolding. Thus, it may results time-and cost-consuming. Innovation in the field of arch construction is very rare until now. The present paper aims to validate a novel construction method for curved members by means of small-scaled specimens. The proposed method consists of connecting the stone blocks on one side with Fibre Reinforced Polymer (FRP) and then lift it up. The herein experimental program involved masonry arches loaded at the mid-line in order to compare the behaviour of the traditionally-made and the innovative arches in terms of load-bearing versus deflection. This is a preliminary test within a larger ongoing experimental campaign.

Abstract: In recent years, with the urgent need of the country to vigorously promote the transformation and upgrading of the construction industry and the modernization of the construction industry, it has been proposed to vigorously develop prefabricated buildings and increase the proportion of prefabricated buildings in new buildings. The prefabricated concrete building is a concrete structure with prefabricated components in the factory and processing and connection on the construction site. Because of its fast construction speed and good overall benefits, it is widely promoted. For prefabricated buildings, the key technology is the connection of structural nodes, and most of the component connections use concrete sleeve connections. The quality of the sleeve grouting material is very important. The basic formula of the grouting material leads to different and different mechanical properties. Conditions apply. This article starts with different sleeve grouting patents, summarizes different functions and characteristics, and provides a reference for the next development of sleeve grouting.

Abstract: In order to promote the development of acupuncture technique and improve the effect of acupuncture, acupuncturists have innovated and produced many new acupuncture needles using suitable engineering materials. This article aims to show the progress of advance engineering materials in acupuncture needles. We searched the international database PubMed, EI, and the Chinese database CNKI, Wangfang. The MESH and Key words were: acupuncture needle, needle implement, acupuncture implement, float needle, new nine needles, fire needle, laser acupuncture. And we classified the new needles into 5 related parts: name, inventor, function, materials and application. In this study, we had summarized common used 13 needles and 15 materials. The mainly used needles were Stone Needle, Metal needle, Stainless steel needle, New nine needles, Magnetic pole needle and Floating-Acupuncture. The mainly used materials were Si Bin floating stone, stainless steel, magnet, molybdenum, tungsten .Stainless steel needle is the most frequently used in clinic. In conclusion, there are not many advance engineering materials applied in acupuncture needles. A few materials help to promote the development of acupuncture but they are not frequently used enough. The development of acupuncture needs more suitable materials to improve the function of needle. An ideal needle may be painless but thicker enough to manipulate, and produce some material effect to produce enough stimulating quantity.

Abstract: In contextual evolution of the global economy and new technologies, quality, competitiveness, and cost engage companies to focus on continuous improvement and innovation. This approach is highly visible in the bearing industry, due to the emergence and improvement of existing and new types of bearings.The authors of the paper are engaged in a long-term research, which aims to improve the performance of heavy bearings, including identification of new constructive solution. The study is focused on the characteristics and constructive structure of the bearings cages in discussion.In this context, it is logical that the research focuses upon known bearings cages that are currently used [1], as well as unknown or unapplied constructive solutions which are the subject of patents.The critical analysis of various constructive cage solutions for bearings, intended or not for heavy bearings, is a valuable source of inspiration and information towards identification of constructive elements and characteristics useful to develop new technical solutions, by applying integrations, combinations, innovations and development processes [2].In the presented paper several patents are analyzed critically [3, 4, 5], in terms of constructive solutions, manufacturing complexity and presumptive operational energy consumption.

Abstract: The generation of new knowledge and its subsequent efficient implementation is an imperative requirement in modern society and often regarded as part of the struggle for survival. For universities this is a natural and assumed mission, ensuring the integrated development of education and scientific research.For over two decades, at Transilvania University of Brasov a very specific research topic has emerged and developed, concerning hypocycloid automaton (HA). The concept of equatorial spherical hypocycloid automaton (eS-HA), as a particular case of spherical hypocycloid automaton (S-HA), was addressed in a recently successfully completed doctoral thesis. In consideration of the fact that “novelty cannot be achieved by waiting for it to occur accidentally,... but by searching for it systematically, persistently, and scientifically”, are explored extensively the typological range of machines of this type, and has disseminated some of the results.The novelty of the concept called for its validation. The virtual modelling largely confirmed the predictions concerning the construction and operation of the considered type of automaton. Definitive validation beyond any doubt, however, is ensured by developing a real model, whether experimental or merely functional, depending on the objectives and resources of research.Certain restrictions allowed only for the development of a functional model. Several technical projects were devised, the selected constructive solution emerging consequently to their critical analysis. The functional model was achieved by means of rapid prototyping techniques and drew from the beginning on the facilities available at the ProDD Research Institute of Transilvania University of Braşov. The functional model fully confirmed the predictions, is useful and indeed used, including in lectures and laboratory works as an example of how a hypocycloid automaton works.

Abstract: It is becoming increasingly difficult to ignore that cost reduction in product system are not supporting the development of innovation. This contradiction becomes a great challenge for any type of industry, to improve the competitive level. In this research, the focuses on the mechanism of cost reduction using Design to Cost (DTC) strategy in achieving cost improvement and innovation. The contradiction is solved using Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ) that is integrated into Design To Cost Innovation framework. There are two type of cases introduce in this research that highlight the application and the outcome of TRIZ in Design to Cost framework. From the case studies, the results show that the magnitude of cost improvement and innovation achieved is more than the application of conventional tools in Design to Cost strategy. These change the limitation of mindset in cost reduction without compromise or trade-off, and open up new possibility of research for cost reduction in processes and services for various.

Abstract: The enterprise’s comprehensive strength of patent is a key factor to measure its core competitiveness. It is of strategic significance for an enterprise to analyze and evaluate objectively its comprehensive strength of patent. On the basis of an amount of domestic and foreign literature survey, case study and expert consultation, according to the 4 aspects of creation, application, protection and management of patent, the essay constitutes preliminarily an overall evaluation index system of the enterprise’s patent comprehensive strength which is composed of a set of 16 indexes, and analyzes the evaluation model and method of enterprise’s patent comprehensive strength with the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation and through a real case. The essay thinks the evaluation in essence is multi-object, multi-factor, multi-layer, fuzzy and comprehensive, and emphasizes it is the most important to determine evaluation index system and to select evaluation method reasonably in order to evaluate the enterprise’s patent comprehensive strength systematically, comprehensively, scientifically and effectively, to enhance the enterprise’s core competitiveness, and to realize its sustainable development.
